Tourism: Making trips to historical heritages of India

In the north-eastern flanks of India lay the high rising mountainous ranges while to its south-western side are sea waves restless to kiss skies. Our glorious past hidden in ancient buildings with natural beauty topped up with historical places forcibly attract the foreign tourists. This article is going to make trips to some such historical places if importance that are worth visiting.
Foreigners as for that matter don come drawn towards India for nothing with their backpacks on their backs. They are well aware that this is the land where the civilization had flourished first of all. In the ancient times, our architectural expertise was in such an unparallel form. There were unique samples of architectural designs in our country, each excelling than others which were unmatchable else where in the world then. Foreign descend to our country in hordes visiting to see the evidences of the old architectural marvels of India. On the other side, neither we have respects for them nor do we care to preserve those splendorous marvels. This is the reason why ancient idols have been smuggled out of our country in massive numbers landing in foreign countries through out the world. Below are some such places which give off the glimpses of our old legacies.
Caves of Ajanta
Ajanta caves are located at a distance of 104 km in the north-eastern flanks of Maharashtra state. Being near to the Ajanta village, its name is called as
. It was found by a posse of English constabulary first of all in 1819. Altogether 29 caves have been chiselled out by in the middle of shailmala by cutting the mountainous rocks of the valley of the Baghora River.

The other viewable paintings are the birth of Buddha, Mahabhiniskraman, handing over by Yashodhara of son Rahul in the lap of Siddharth.
Caves of Ellora
At a distance of 34 km towards south of the Aurangabad city in Maharashtra state, from here is situated 34 stylised caves of Ellora which is world famous. Hre, from 1-12 are built up Bauddh caves; from 13 to 29 contain Hindu caves while the rest 30 to 34 are Jain’s caves. These caves date back to from 6th to the end of the 10th century. The world famous ‘Kailash Temple’ is situated in its 16th cave. This entire temple has been built up but cutting a portion of the mountain and there is no joint anywhere in it. The art are critic Percy Brown has said that there is no parallel anywhere in the world of its wondrous architectural feat which is a lone example in India only.
Apollo Bandar is a small Island 7 km to the north- eastern direction in the seas of Mumbai. The old name of this Island was Dharapuri but it was given off the name ‘Elephanta’ becausethere was a huge statue of elephant here at the place named ‘Rajghat’. There are 5 caves here in the mountain dating back to 5th and 6th century. Temples have been built here after cutting the mountain. Amongst the temples of this place, the idols of ‘Mhesh’, ‘Shiva Tandav’, and idols depicting the marriage of Parvati are world famous for their artistry and splendour.
Aihol is an ancient placenear ‘Bdami’ in ‘Bijapur’ of Karnataka state. We get to see here the rrmnents of 70 temples. Aihol is called the school of Indian temple architecture.
This place gas been built to cut mountain which is located in the Raiseen district of Madhya Pradesh- hugely famous through the world as cave temples. This is situated in the mid of ‘Betwa’ and ‘Besh’ Rivers. There are 20 caves here altogether. The ‘Varahavtara’ is worth viewable.
Konark is situated near Puri in Orissa. On the northern flanks of sandy plains toward the Chilka valley roars the seas. The place is famous for the temple of
black pagoda of sun God
. The entire temple has been built in the shape of the chariot wheels which is being drawn by the 7 horses of the Sun God. This is one unique sample of Indian architectural science.
Near ‘Sirohi’ in Rajasthan, in the middle of Aravali mountain range is situated the highest peak of mountain in Rajasthan known as
. It is supposed to be the place of worship of our ancient saints. The Jain temples of Dilwara located in Abu is world famous for its fretworks, excellent mosaicwork, and enamelwork.
: There are several such places in India where the foreigners throng agog with excitement but about which we are totally oblivious of.
