How to fight and cure Depression?

Depression is a common yet a serious health problem which has engraved its roots so deeply that it is really hard to take this problem completely from the victim of it. There are number of medicines available today but the treatment is not so effective and it results in certain other disease as well. In this resource we will discuss Depression, its cause as well as the remedies.



 

Case Study :
  1. One month ago, I met one of the patients at hospital who had also arrived for the surgery and was lying on the bed from past two years (without any reason). I later came to know that she was under depression from past eight years.

  2. I had my surgery, I came back to my ward and we started taking, I was surprised to know that she was a government service person and she had taken voluntarily retirement just because she thought that she cannot do it more.

  3. Even all the treatment failed because she had no will to get well, that was the ill effect depression had on her that even the best of doctors were not able to treat her, the reason was simple, she liked in being the way she is.

Depression- What is it actually?


  1. Depression is a state of ill mind/case of mental health of a person in which he completely surrenders to the emotional void. The social interaction, togetherness and willingness to overcome succeed, interact with people completely loses its sheen.

  2. There is no doubt that many doctors, psychologist suggest that depression is the most common form of mental unhealthiness.

  3. The vicious circle which rotates is another concern as depression not only leads to severe health disorders but also leads to severe conclusions (patient's view) like suicide in some cases.

  4. Depression is sometimes so much engraved in a person that it is hard to judge whether the person is actually sad or depressed? As it becomes a habit, nature or a trait of his personality.

Overcoming Depression- Personal touch/healing


  1. It is sometimes noticed that people try to take medicine in the case of depression where there are some other ways which are more fruitful when it comes to healing and treating it.

  2. We must understand what are the reason that a person is under depression?

    • Load of expectation
    • Over ambitious
    • Lack of social circle
    • Family pressure
    • Physical limitations/Disease
    • Mental trauma during child age
    • Some sort of incident in past
    • Work Load

  3. The most common form of depression of being over ambitious and pressure at home/office can be healed by conveying the mental stress and sharing with loved one.

  4. Often people feel like sharing their pressures but the protectiveness of the family members/ spouse that work load should be left at office creates a lot of disorder.

  5. It is better to tell a depressed person that it is normal to fail, lose and life can never be smooth for any person who has to succeed.

  6. Proper mentoring at office, sessions/classes on skill developments, spirituality, incentives for hard work as well as motivation is very necessary.

  7. At home, proper diet, energetic drinks, good atmosphere and care should be given, to make them feel that yes are loved by someone.

Overcoming Depression- Extra activities


  1. Indulging a depressed person in some sort of sports or activity is a good option.

  2. Try to analyze what are the favorite past times, Hobby, sports or interest and then motivate the person to spend some time in doing that or playing them.

  3. Change of environment, atmosphere, air is also known as a good remedy and proved a good healing activity, sometimes location change can be a good option.

  4. Try to change your room, settings at home, change in wardrobe as well as infrastructure can be a good option, try to make out something by doing painting, carpentry, doing good for others is the best we can do, eventually it will come back to you.

  5. Listen to motivating songs, enticing musical instruments and sweet songs can even make the emotional flow, which is very necessary to take out what lies in heart.

  6. It is very necessary to take out the inner feelings in one or other way, writing down, jotting down those incidents which are painful will definitely cut that out.

  7. Take sometime out to meet the loved ones. Family friends and school mates, go for reunion, looking at old stuff, photo albums so that good moments can be revised.

Overcoming Depression- through Meditation


  1. There are people who have grown spiritually and they are on the road of happiness and are guiding several others too.

  2. Awakening the mind and body through meditation, under the guidance of spiritual leaders can be fruitful.

  3. There are lot of speeches, conferences, sessions everyday launched by the spiritual gurus who even guide the patients on the path of happiness.

  4. Speak your mind and surrender to the supreme power and he will take care of everything.

  5. There is no doubt that there will be certain queries, doubts and you will have to ask them, you need to find a way out of this depression.

Conclusion:
In order to cure depression what is most important is to accept that yes it is depression, the major reason that this problem trails for whole life is the fact that person is not at all ready to accept that he needs to get this cured or he is under depression. There comes the proper care and concern by the loved ones so that this can be cured.
