In this resource, I have given the information on DSC-2012, recruitment of teacher jobs in government schools in Andhra Pradesh. In this article, I have mentioned about:important dates related, how to apply, education qualifications, selection procedure and scheme of the examination.



 

Details of DSC-2012


State government of Andhra Pradesh, recently, released the notification for the recruitment of teachers in government and local body schools. Information in notification revised again for the candidates who appears TET in May-2012. The details of DSC-2012 are:
i)Candidates have to pay fee for DSC-2012 till 12-07-2012; they can apply online till 13-7-2012;
ii)Candidates can download hall tickets from 14-8-2012;
iii)Exam dates and timings are: school assistant(languages) is on 26-8-2012 from 10am to 12.30pm; School assistant(non-languages) is on 26-8-2012 from 2pm to 4.30pm; Secondary grade teacher is on 27-8-2012 from 10am to 12.30pm; Language pandit is on 27-8-2012 from 2pm to 4.30pm; Physical education teacher is on 27-8-2012 from 2pm to 5pm; for special schools, school assisant(languages) and language pandit are on 28-8-2012 from 10am to 12.30pm, and school assistant(non-languages) is on 28-8-2012 from 2pm to 4.30pm.

How to apply for DSC-2012:


i) Candidate has to visit DSC-2012 website;And then, candidates should decide whether they are eligible for the posts after they see the downloaded information bulletin;
ii)They are general and special schools in East Godavari and Hyderbad districts; So, candidates have to see the information bulletin to satisfy their eligibility; Then, candidates can apply through separate applications for general and special schools, if they live in that districts; Candidate can use one application to apply for multiple posts in either general schools or special schools;
iii)Candidate has to pay 250/- as fee for each post; Candidate can pay this fee at aponline or e-seva centers to obtain journal number; That number should be entered in the space provided in online application form;
iv)candidate has to affix a passport photograph on white paper; He/She has to sign in black ink under the pasted photograph; Then it should be scanned to place it at the space provided in online application form;
v)Candidates need not to enter TET marks while submitting application form; Government will take the marks in TET for the candidate from the database at education department;
vi)Any false information in online application form cancels the candidature of the candidate;
v)After submission of application form, candidate gets reference number; It should be kept for further correspondence and it is used at the time of downloading hall tickets;
vi)If the candidate is already working in government sector, he/she has to inform their head of the department before appearing for written examination;

Qualifications for DSC-2012:


A)i)for SGT posts:
a)Candidate must pass in paper-I in APTET; Qualifying marks in TET for: O.C. candidates in 60%; For B.C. candidates is 50% and, for S.C. and S.T. candidates is 40%;
b)Candidate should have D.Ed., at the time of application;
ii)For school assistant posts:
a)Candidate must pass in paper-II in APTET; For all categories percentage of qualifying marks in TET is given above;
b)Qualification for different subjects such as:
i)Mathematics: Candidate should have B.Ed., in Mathematics methodology and he/she should have Mathematics or Statistics as the main subject in degree;
ii)Physical science: Candidate should pass B.Ed., in Physical science methodology and he/she should have Physics and Chemistry are as main subjects in degree;
iii)Biological science: Candidate should pass B.Ed., in Biological science methodology and he/she should have Botany and Zoology are as main subjects in degree;
iv)Social studies: Candidate should pass B.Ed., in Social studies methodology and he/she should have B.A. having any two subjects in history, economics, political science, philosophy, public administration, anthropology and psychology or B.Com;
v)English: Candidate should pass B.Ed., in English methodology and he/she must have English as main subject at degree level or English in post graduation;
vi)Telugu: Candidate should pass B.Ed., in Telugu methodology or Telugu pandit training and he/she should complete degree with Telugu as main subject or B.O.L or post graduation in Telugu;
vii)Hindi: Candidate should pass B.Ed., in Hindi methodology or Hindi pandit training and he/she must have Hindi as main subject in degree or praveena/vidwaan of Dakshina Bharaath Hindi prachaara sabha, Hyderabad or post graduation in Hindi;
viii)Physical education:Candidate should pass bachelor degree in any discipline and bachelor degree in physical education or M.P.Ed.,

iii)For language pandits:
a)Telugu:Candidate should have qualification as mentioned in school assistant Telugu; Hindi: Candidate should have qualification as mentioned in school assistant Hindi;
b)Candidate should hass paper-II APTET with qualifying percentage of marks as mentioned earlier;
iv)For physical education teachers: Candidate should have undergraduate diploma in Physical education or he/she must have bachelor degree and B.P.Ed., or M.P.Ed.,;
v)Candidate can apply for school assistant and language pandit in special schools if and only if they have special D.Ed.,/ B.Ed., or Speical M.Ed., in respective subjects.
B)Candidate should be aged between 18 to 39 for the eligible of the posts in DSC-2012; For SC, ST and BC candidates, relaxation is upto 5 years; For physically challenged, they can apply upto 49 years.

Selection procedure of candidates for DSC-2012:


i)Selection of candidates is considered from 80% marks from written examination and 20% marks from TET; But, PETs are selected purely from written examination;
ii)Number of selected candidates do not exceed number of number of vacancies; Waiting lists are not displayed; If any vacancies are not filled at the time recruitment process, they are taken to further recruitment notifications;
iii)Vacancies are allotted to candidates on the basis local reservation; For that roster cum merit system is followed by DSC(district selection committee);
iv)All original certificates are verified at the time selection process.

Scheme of the examination for DSC-2012:


i)For secondary grade teacher posts: current affairs and general knowledge carries 10marks for 20 questions;Perspective in education carries 10 marks for 20 questions; Language-I(any Indian languages learned upto secondary level) carries 9 marks for 18 questions; Language-II(English) carries 9 marks for 18 questions; Mathematics, Science and Social studies(AP state syllabus upto 8th standard at 10th class level) carries 27 marks for 54 questions; Teaching methodology at D.Ed., level carries 15 marks for 30 questions;
ii)For school assistant posts(language and non-languages): Current affairs and general knowledge carries same marks as mentioned above; Content(APstate syllabus from 6th to 10th upto standard of intermediate level) carries 44 marks for 88 questions; Methodology(AP state syllabus in B.Ed.,) carries 16 marks for 32 questions;
iii)For physical education teacher posts: Current affairs and general knowledge carries same marks as mentioned above; English carries 10 marks for 20 questions; content(U.G. D.P.Ed., syllabus) carries 80 marks for 160 questions.
