Minority welfare scholarships


The minority welfare scholarship providing financial help to bright students belonging to minority categories. The scholarships provided are 1: pre-matric scholarship, 2: post-matric scholarship and 3: merit-cum-means scholarship. In this section the procedures for the registry to merit-cum-scholarship are explained. This scholarship is provided by the government of India for students who need financial help for higher studies such as technical and professional courses. Students are provided with scholarships on basis of a state-wise distribution list, which provides a stupendous opportunity for students from every state. Scholarship includes both the course fee and also maintenance allowance for ten months. This article will provide guidelines for successful registry to this scholarship online and also to proceed the application form to the institutions.

Merit-cum-means scholarship


This scholarship is allocated to students who have successfully completed their higher secondary courses. After the allotments to professional or technical colleges have been made, the students can register on line for this scholarship at the site " WWW.momascholarsip.govt.in". There are some major requirements for eligibility to avail the scholarship which are,
1: The students parental income should not exceed 2.50 lacks.
2: The student should be allotted to the college or institution based on his performance in competitive entrance examinations.
3:The student should qualify the higher secondary course with at least 50% of marks if they have not faced any competitive entrance examinations and still have joined for the course.
4: The applicant should belong to a minority category.
5: The student must not be receiving scholarship or stipends from any other source.
There are two main phases for the registration. The first one is the online registration and the second phase is the submission of application to the institution to which the student is admitted.

Phase one


Enter the official site of MOMASCHOLARSHIP.On entering the page click on the merit-cum-means scholarship. Now you will be directed to the requested page . Here click on the tab current academic year. Now the main page appears. From the drop down menu on the top of the page, select the student registration and again from it, click on state registration. Fill up all the fields and continue to the next page by clicking on apply for scholarship. Proceed through the following pages by filling up all the requested fields. In case of any doubts during online registry the student can save the filled entries by clicking on the save option in the page and can continue by using the update student information option after the clarification of the doubts. Make sure that all fields should be filled before proceeding this to the institution by clicking on proceed to institution . Once you have completely filled all the field entries proceed it to the institution. The application form have to be printed out during the time of online registration. During the time of this online registry the student will receive a temporary id which is useful for future references. On receiving the scholarship for the first year the student's temporary id will be replaced by a permanent one.

Phase two


After the student have obtained the print out he should fill it up and need to collect all the required documents that proves his/her annual income, religion and caste and nativity which include,
1: Income certificate.
2: Community certificate.
3: Nativity certificate.
4: A receipt that acknowledges the scholarship received in the previous year signed by the head of the institution. This is for renewal applications only.
After filling the printed pages along with the required certificates submit these documents together to the institution before the last date commences. The last date for submission of fresh applications is 30th of September 2012. Every year the student should renew his or her scholarship by the renewal option in the site. Students those who haven't received the scholarship during the first year of their course can again apply for the same the next year.
