Admission 2012- to Diploma in Allergy and Asthma

Nowadays the most common disease includes the respiratory diseases. This is because of the increase in pollution and population. Very few institutions are having the diploma, short term courses for respiratory diseases. One of the institutions is CMC Vellore. Christian medical college – CMC had come up with the short term diploma course (DAA) – Diploma in Allergy and Asthma for the doctors. The main advantage of persuading this course is that it is a distant education and the doctors can persuade this course while working. Since this course is related to distant education, students have to attend the college for one week in every quarter. This course is conducted with collaboration with International Asthma services a U.S based organization. Since there are lots of person suffering from Asthma and other respiratory diseases, the US organization want to fix a permanent solution by educating the doctors. Since this course is conducted by US organization, it has world level recognition.

Eligibility

Doctors who had completed their post graduation in cardiology or ENT or in Pediatrics domain can apply for this diploma course.

Graduates with MBBS degree with certain level of experience in handling asthma person are also eligible for attending the course.

Duration of the course-

The complete course is of 12 months and it is divided into 4 quarters. And for every quarter, the students have to visit the college for at least a week to have personal training. And practical sessions and the hands on training, medication etc will be covered in the course. At last exams (both practical and theoretical) will be conducted by CMC (Christian medical college) and US organization and the results will be announced followed by the complete the DAA course (Diploma in Allergy and asthma course) in CMC.

Output of the Program

The doctors, who had taken up this course after general medicine, can handle the Asthma and allergic patients efficiently. They know what are the allergic symptoms and what the causes and the foods that they have to consume etc. they will be confident of all kinds of respiratory problems and the medication for the same. And the main aim of the IAS US organization is to eradicate the asthma respiratory diseases all over the world. Since this course is being conducted by having tie-up with US organization, so it is having high reputation all over the world.

Filled application form, self addressed envelope and along with DD in favour of college name can be sent to the college.

Upon verification based on the eligibility criteria, candidates will be selected and called for one to one personal interview.

While sending the application, applicant has to send the copies of their degree certificate and the experience letter.
