In this article, I have given a sample e-mail format of an invitation letter to a friend. Here the readers will find to know what is an invitation letter, what are its contents and how it is written from the bottom to the top portion of the letter etc. As this a personal type of letter, it is not necessary to be so formal but should be cordial in inviting one to any event.

Here is given a sample e-mail format of an invitation letter to a friend. An invitation letter is letter where you invite your friend and family member to any special occasion. At the top of the invitation letter, one should first write the name and address of the receiver of the letter followed by the date at which it is written. At the main portion of the letter, one should cordially invite his friend and family. The venue and the date of the ceremony should be clearly mentioned. And also give the contact number under your name.

Wedding invitation letter is a personal letter. Though in general, invitation letter is sent in printed form, it is better to extend the personal invitation by writing few extra lines by hand. At the end of the letter one should insists him to join in the wedding ceremony once again.One can request his/her friend to receive the 'barat' or one can request his friend to be a part of the functions held at the wedding.

Here in this sample letter, S. Saha is inviting his friend P. Boruah and his family member to the wedding ceremony of his elder sister.
