Where I can register for Voter ID Card online? Right now there is no option for voter ID card registration online, you can still get Voter ID Card registration form online where you have to download them. Once voter ID form downloaded, you may then fill it up neatly and submit them in your respective area at electoral office nearby.
You may take a print out of the form given here from Form 001A, Form 6, Form 7, Form 8, Form 8a. Kindly fill them up based on your requirement. You shall have a copy of the current residence proof, you can then visit the nearest Electoral Registration Officer in your respective area. When you go to electoral office please make sure that you have with you the Xerox copy and Original of proof of residence.
Who can get voter ID? If you are 18 years and above then you are eligible person to get voter ID and you are entitle to vote in India, If you would lke to vote but really no idea then still no issue - you will get its detail process here. You can download Form 6 and fill it up for inclusion of your name in the electoral list. You can find here relevant Voter ID forms to download like Form 6 and others, download them, fill them up and submit them to the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) of your respective constituency. Form 6 is mandatory for this process.
If you don't have an Electors' Photo Identity Card (EPIC), or simply a Voter ID, you can still vote. As usual, voters have to carry an identity proof example Electors Photo Identity Card (EPIC) issued by the Commission, or valid Passport, or ration card, or any other documentary proof as listed by the Election Commission. However, even if you have a Voter ID card that issued by electoral to you still no guarantee for you to vote because it is mandatory that your name must appear in the electoral list while they issue the updated list during election.
Form 001A for Photo inclusion in voter list Form 001A need to submit along with other inclusion form such as Form 6. You can download and submit form 001A to get a Voter photo identity card.
Form 8 for modification Name/Address in the electoral list If any particulars in the electoral roll such as Name, House Number, Middle Name, Last Name, Age, Sex, Epic Number etc. are to be modified, a claim in Form 8 can be filed. You may download Form 8 and submit it to the ERO (Electoral Registration Officer) of your constituency.
Form 8A for change of electoral part In case any elector has changed his House from the polling area of one booth to other booth in the same Assembly Constituency, he can file an application in Form 8A for change / transposition from one electoral part to the other. You may download Form 8A and submit it to the ERO(Electoral Registration Officer) of your constituency.
Form 7 for objection or name deletion You can use Form 7 for an objection or seeking deletion of name in electoral roll.
