The Mody Institute of Technology & Science (MITS) is currently offering admissions to eligible students for its various engineering programs at both the undergraduate and post graduate levels. Students who fulfil the required criteria can apply for admissions for the academic year 2012-2013.
About MITS The Mody Institute of Technology & Science (MITS) is a Deemed University exclusively for women. The MITS campus has spacious classrooms, labs & libraries as well as a language laboratory. Wi-fi connectivity is available throughout the campus. Boarding & lodging facilities are available for students (both AC and non-AC). Campus placement is provided too.
2012 MITS B.Tech programs All the B.Tech programs offered by MITS is of 4 years duration. B. Tech. (Computer Science & Engineering) Duration: 4 years No. of seats: 120 B. Tech. (Mechanical Engineering) Duration: 4 years No. of seats: 30 B. Tech (Mechatronics) Duration: 4 years No. of seats: 30 B. Tech. (Electronics & Communication Engineering) Duration: 4 years No. of seats: 120 B. Tech. (Electrical & Electronics Engineering) Duration: 4 years No. of seats: 60 B. Tech (Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering) Duration: 4 years No. of seats: 30 B.Tech. (Information Technology) Duration: 4 years No. of seats: 60
2012-2013 MITS MBA-B.Tech programs There are 2 programs offered with the integrated MBA (Tech) courses, with both these programs of 5 years duration & number of seats for each is 30. In one, the student can pursue both B.Tech. & MBA with specialization in Electronics & Communication Engineering; and in the other the student can pursue both B.Tech & MBA with specialization in Computer Science & Engineering.
2012-2013 MITS B.Tech.-M.Tech programs There are 2 programs offered with the integrated B. Tech-M. Tech. courses, with both these programs of 5 years duration & number of seats for each is 30. In one, the student can pursue both B. Tech & M. Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering; and in the other the student can pursue both B. Tech & M. Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering.
Eligibility for all above programs: 1. Candidate should have passed in 10+2 exam of CBSE or its equivalent of any Board with Maths & Physics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following: Chemistry / Computer Science / Biotechnology / Biology 2. Candidate must have adequate proficiency in English. 3. Candidates who fulfil the above criteria will then get admission on the basis of the All India Rank (Overall) of 2012 AIEEE / State level Engineering Test / MITS Entrance Test (MEET).
2012-2013 MITS M.Tech programs 1. M. Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering Duration: 2 years No. of seats: 18 Eligibility: (1)Candidate must have a B.E./B.Tech./M.Sc./M.C.A. degree or equivalent degree in a related field with minimum 50% marks. (2) Candidate must have adequate proficiency in English.
2. M. Tech in Nano Science & Technology Duration: 2 years No. of seats: 18 Eligibility: (1) Candidate must have a BE/B. Tech in ME/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Chemical/ Computer Science & Engg. Degree or M.Sc Physics/Chemistry (with Mathss up to at least Bachelor's level) degree with minimum 50% marks. (2) Candidate must have adequate proficiency in English.
3. M. Tech. in Signal Processing Duration: 2 years No. of seats: 18 Eligibility: (1) Candidate must have a B.E. / B. Tech. / M.Sc. degree or equivalent degree in related field with minimum 50% marks. (2) Candidate must have adequate proficiency in English.
4. M. Tech. in VLSI Design Duration: 2 years No. of seats: 18 Eligibility: (1) Candidate must have a B.E./B.Tech./M.Sc. degree or equivalent degree in related field with minimum 50% marks. (2) Candidate must have adequate proficiency in English.
5. M. Tech in Nuclear Science and Technology Duration: 2 years No. of seats: 18 Eligibility (1) Candidate must have a B. E. / B. Tech. in Mechanical / Electrical/ Electronics/ Instrumentation/ Industrial/ Production/Chemical/Metallurgical Engineering/Computer Science & Engineering/ Information Technology degree or M.Sc. Physics/ Electronics/ Chemistry degree with minimum 50% marks. (2) Candidate must have adequate proficiency in English.
Additional Notes:- 1. The final selection of candidates for admissions will be on the basis of a written test & an interview. Preference will be given to those candidates who have qualified through GATE. These candidates will not have to appear for the written test. 2. Students who gain admission to the two year M.Tech programs will be given a monthly stipend of Rs. 8,000/-.
6. Integrated M. Tech (Nuclear Science and Technology) program Duration: 3 years No. of seats: 18 Eligibility: (1) Candidate must have obtained a Bachelor's degree in Science with 1st division or 60% marks or equivalent grade having Maths & Physics as a subject for at least 2 years/4 semesters. (2) Candidate must have an adequate proficiency in English. (3) Candidates who fulfil the above criteria will then gain admission on the basis of a written test & an interview. Preference will be given to candidates who have qualified through 2012 JAM (Physics) -2012. These candidates will not have to appear for the written test.
2012-2013 MITS MCA program The Master of Computer Application program is of 3 years duration and the number of seats available is 60.
Eligibility: Candidate must be a graduate (any stream) with minimum of 50% marks + Maths at least up to 10+2 level. Candidates who fulfil this qualification will then get admissions on the basis of their performance in MIT's M.C.A. Entrance Test / any State level Entrance Test.
Important admissions dates: 1. Last date for receiving Applications from candidates appearing in 2012 AIEEE 2012 / State Level Engineering Entrance Test: June 20th, 2012 2. Last date for receiving Applications from candidates for M.Tech/MCA Admissions: June 30th 2012. 3. Date of counseling of students qualified in other State Level Tests: July 2nd, 2012 (Monday) How to apply There are various options to apply for admissions to 2012-2013 MITS academic programs: 1. You can submit your application form online at the official website (see link at end of this article). OR 2. You can download the PDF of the application form from the official website & send the filled in form along with a DD of Rs.600/- drawn in favour of MITS-FET, payable at Lakshmangarh / Sikar. OR 3. You can send a DD of Rs.600/- for prospectus and application form, drawn in favour of MITS-FET, payable at Lakshmangarh / Sikar. OR 4. You can personally visit the campus & get the prospectus and application form upon payment of Rs.600/- in cash from FET, MITS – Lakshmangarh office. OR 5. You can get the application form at designated branches of the Oriental Bank of Commerce, the list of which is available at the MITS website.
