PIC 12F675:
Description:
The PIC12F675 can be operated in eight oscillating modes. The user can program three configuration bits (FOSC2 through FOSC0) to select one of these eight modes. LP (Low Power Crystal) oscillator mode, XT (crystal/resonator) mode, HS (High Speed crystal/resonator) mode, two RC (External Resistor/Capacitor) mode, two INTOSC (Internal Oscillator) mode and EC (External Clock In) mode. External Oscillator support for crystals and resonators
Internal 4MHz oscillator:
When calibrated, the internal oscillator provides a fixed 4MHz (nominal) system clock. Two options are available for this oscillator mode which allows GP4 to be used as a general purpose I/O or to output Fosc/4.
Calibrating the Internal Oscillator
A calibration instruction is programmed into the last location of program memory. The literal is placed in the OSCCAL register to set the calibration of the internal oscillator.
Table : Capacitor selection for oscillator
MODE FREQUENCY OSC1(C1) OSC2 (C2)
LP 32 KHz 68 – 100 pF 68 – 100 pF
XT 100 KHz 68 – 150 pF 150 – 200 pF
2 MHz 15 – 30 pF 15 – 30 pF
4 MHz 15 – 30 pF 15 – 30 pF
HS 8 MHz 15 – 30 pF 15 – 30 pF
10 MHz 15 – 30 pF 15 – 30 pF
20 MHz 15 – 30 pF 15 – 30 pF
Features:
? Internal and external oscillator options
? 6 I/O pins with individual direction control
? Direct, Indirect, and Relative Addressing modes
? Programmable code protection
? Interrupt capability
? High Endurance flash/EEPROM Cell
