ADMISSIONS TO B.ARCH. DEGREE COURSES 2007 - 2008

Applications are invited for admission to 5 Year (10 Sem.) B. Arch. Degree Programme offered at University Department of Anna University, Chennai, Government Aided Institutions (Self-Supporting Programme), and the seats surrendered by the un-aided Self Financing Engineering Colleges for the academic year 2007 - 2008.
Eligibility:
1. Candidates shall be required to have passed the Higher Secondary Examination of (10+2)curriculum with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as subjects of study with an overallaggregate of not less than 50% of marks in the qualifying examination. However, for Tamil Nadu SC/ST candidates who have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examinations. Or 3 years Diploma, with Mathematics as one of the subject are also eligible.
2. Candidate must have written the National Aptitude Test for Architecture (NATA) 2007 conducted by the Council of Architecture, New Delhi.
3. Admission to B. Arch. Degree Programme is based on the Qualifying Examination
(200 marks) and NATA (200 marks).

Application Forms:
IN PERSON: Application forms can be had in person from 25.06.2007 at the Examination Centre, Anna University Chennai, Chennai - 600 025 on payment by Demand Draft for Rs.500/- for General category and Rs.250/- for Tamil Nadu SC/ST category.
BY POST: Application forms can be obtained by post by sending a Demand Draft for
Rs.530/- for General Category and Rs.280/- for Tamil Nadu SC/ST category.
Candidates seeking admission under Special reservation category should enclose
separate special reservation application along with main application together with DD for Rs.100/- for each special reservation with relevant documents. The applications under Sports Quota should be submitted along with all documents only in person.
Candidates have to send the filled up application along with the Xerox copies of Mark Sheet(s) and copies of all other relevant certificates, to The Secretary, TNEA 2007, Anna University Chennai, Chennai - 600 025 on or before 04.07.2007 (5.30 p.m.).
All Demand Drafts should be drawn in favour of “The Director, Admissions, Anna
University, Chennai” payable at Chennai, drawn on any Nationalised / Scheduled bank dated on or after 25.06.2007. Candidates are instructed to write name and address on the reverse side of the Demand Draft.
Tamil Nadu SC/ST candidates who wants to avail registration fee concession (Rs.250/-) should produce a copy of the community certificate obtained from competent authority.
