We all use vehicle everyday. Sometime we drive and sometime we use it to travel. Everyday many dies on the road just because of either unawareness or lack of knowledge about the vehicle. Man, machine and motion all should be move simultaneously with full precaution. Here are some suggestions to avoid accident. Everyone can facilitate them self by using those suggestions mentioned in this article.
There is thin line between safety and death on Road.
Most of people think that they are smart enough to ride on road. In fact if we discussed about safe driving then rarely someone knows about it. If we asked the question "Can you drive on road?" Then the result will appear in following manner:
1. Age 18 - 30: 74% Yes, I can. 23% No, I can't but I rarely do. 3% I always prefer to sit in back seat.
2. Age 31 - 45: 89% Yes, I can. 2% No, I can't but I rarely do. 9% I always prefer to sit in back seat.
3. Age 45 – Above: 93% Yes, I can. 1% No, I can't but I rarely do.6% I always prefer to sit in back seat.
[Note: The above data is the result of my survey by sampling, due to the limitation of survey the actual result may vary.]
You could easily recognize the scenario that in early stage many cannot drive but they do (i.e. 23% of the category one people they cannot drive but they do).
As per my own opinion the people belongs to category 1 and 3 are rougher driver as compare to category 2.
Before knowing about the rough driving, we should know about driving.
Definition of driving :
It is a process of systematic movement of both machine and operator and mechanical action done by a person called driver.
A driver must be smart enough to drive. Now the question is what is the meaning of smart driver?
A person having a latest model of car with a good communication skill, fat pocket and designer attire, driving while his girl friend is sitting next to him is smart!
Well, not at all. A smart driver is defined as a person having conscious mind and good command over vehicle and his own body and must be able to understand and follow the instruction of traffic rules and regulations.
There are four stages of learning driving:
1.
Inefficient cum unawareness stage
: In this stage the person is totally ignorance about the driving and can't drive. If the learner tries to drive then he doesn't operate vehicle, actually vehicle operates learner as per its wish.
This stage is highly dangerous stage because in this stage the learner is totally unfamiliar with vehicle and also unaware.
2.
Inefficient cum awareness stage
: In this stage the person is willing to drive but he is inefficient and can't drive properly. He learns about the vehicle (either commercial or personal) and the method of driving with traffic rules and regulations.
This stage is awareness stage and this is very surprising that this stage is not covered under danger stages because the learner pays additional concentration on vehicle. This stage is the example of exception of inefficiency. Other example of exception of inefficiency is "A blind man never hurts while crossing road".
3.
Efficient cum awareness stage
: In this stage a learner becomes a smart driver. He knows all the moves and can drive as per his own wish.
This stage also not covered under danger stages because the learner is now smart enough to control vehicle.
4.
Efficient cum unawareness stage
: This is the last stage of learning. Once the learner becomes driver he automatically becomes over smart and almost rides beyond the limit (speed, rules and regulations).
This stage is danger because the driver thinks that now he can do every move and stunt.
In the above four stages of learning driving, the first and fourth stages are dangerous and almost every accidents had been done by the driver from these categories.
Now if we talk about the rough driving then the person engaged in primary stage that is in learning stage and the final stage that is in highly efficient cum unaware stage fall under this category (i.e. category 1 and 3 as per discussed earlier).
Rough driving is the major reason of accident. Following are some reasons of accident
1. High Speed
2. Wrong Parking.
3. Wrong overtaking.
4. Driving by Khalasi.
5. Driving in intoxication.
6. Vehicle not in proper condition.
7. Cooking food in or under the vehicle.
8. Disobeying of any traffic rule.
We must follow the all safety instructions for being safe and make the environment safe.
Everyone must know the traffic police signal. Discussing below:
RED: Stop at the stop line
YELLOW & RED: Wait for the green signal
GREEN (Showing upward arrow): Go straight in the direction of arrow.
GREEN (Showing right arrow): Go to your right in the direction of arrow.
GREEN (Showing left arrow): Go to your left in the direction of arrow.
some road manners discussed below must be obeyed:
1. Stop at all label crossing, look and then proceed.
2. Stop your vehicle while drop gate is going down.
3. Stop your vehicle while hooter is on at drop gate.
4. Do not sleep under the vehicle (heavy) or while driving.
5. Get back your vehicle only after getting signal from helper.
6. In case of commercial vehicle when loading is higher the cabin, drive slowly with guiding.
7. Stop the vehicle at dropping condition of materials.
8. Park your vehicle at parking area.
Know about your vehicle:
Engine is like a heart of vehicle. The driver must take special care about engine. Generally in every engine there is indication of power output, it is also called engine H.P (Horse power). In heavy vehicle the proportion of material loading is depends upon the H.P.
For better maintenance of engine depends upon the proper maintenance of oil system, air system and lubricant system.
Different kinds of meters and its uses:
The driver must have complete knowledge of every meter in dash board and also the importance of it while driving. Following are some kind of meters (in light and heavy vehicles):
1. Lubricant Pressure Meter.
2. Air Pressure Meter.
3. Impair meter charging
4. Coolant temperature meter.
5. Oil indication meter.
6. Light Indicators
7. Side indicators etc.
We must have the at least basic knowledge of our vehicle to procure us from many upcoming accidents.

Some mistakes in your caption. It should be "Be safe and try to save people around you on road".
You can also use "Safety is better than cure".
