Confused about how to finance your studies overseas? How to know which scholarship is better? Would a fellowship allow for those necessary field trips? Given below is a listing of top scholarships awards by institutions and trusts overseas as well as in this country, especially for-but not limited to- the students of medicine, dentistry, biology, and biotechnology.

Okay, so you are all starry-eyed about attending that (Enter the name of whichever country currently on 'cool' radar of youngsters) varsity. So you work hard and work ahead. You procure great marks. You get yourself quite a number of 'Letters of Recommendations'. You do your best in extra-curricular stuff. You prepare your interview skills to the perfection. And finally, you have your coveted admission letter in your hand- and somewhere in that yellow envelope- a paper in which the college would have specified how much you would be shelling out in coming years. Did I hear 8 lacs annually?

And it doesn't help that you are in medical field, as your options for financial aids decrease dramatically. It is because, for instance, in USA, most of the students in medical schools pay their bills with help of federal loans. These loans can't be granted to international students. Also, a lot of time and energy is spent on making one a doctor. Most of the governments would rather invest their resources on someone who will serve their country, instead on someone who will pack their bags up after completion of the course.

I have compiled a list of, what I think, are the best bets for an aspiring medical student. I have been googling about various grants and awards for over two years, and boy, is it tough! You have better chance of finding that gold pot at the end of the rainbow, then finding a scholarship scheme which suits your needs. Anyway, here are the handpicked funding programs.
