Do you want to apply for Indian Oil scholarships 2012 for studying 10+2 or ITI course? Here is the eligibility criteria for Indian students for applying for Indian Oil scholarships to study 10+2 or ITI.

Indian Oil has announced 2000 10+2 / ITI scholarships for poor and needy Indian students who have passed tenth class exams and want to pursue higher studies. So in order to apply for the scholarship from IOC, just check out the eligibility and then apply for the scholarship.



Minimum eligibility marks in tenth class board exams for applying Indian oil scholarships 2012


For general category students, 65% in tenth class exams is must to apply for the scholarship from IOCL. And it is 60% for the students belonging to SC, ST, OBC and for girls. The scholarships will be distributed according to the total number of students appeared in India to total number of students appeared in a state ratio and finally IOC will decide how many students are to be provided with Indian Oil scholarships state wise.

Courses eligible for IOC scholarships 2012


Students must have been admitted into 11th standard to apply. For ITI scholarships, ITI students studying in first year students can apply. Students must have been admitted into full time and regular courses only. The private or distance students are not eligible to apply for IOC scholarships. And other most important thing to remember is the students must have been studying in State or Central Education Boards or AICTE approved colleges or universities.

Income criteria to apply for Indian Oil scholarships 2012


Your family gross Joint income should be less than 1,00,000 rupees per annum. But the students with less than 60,000 rupees income per annum will be given some preference while short listing the candidates. As income proof, only income certificates issued by the competent revenue authorities will be accepted. Marks along with the family's income both are considered for the final short listing of the students for IOCL scholarships. If your mother or father work in Indian Oil or its Joint Venture companies, you are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.

Age limit and age relaxation for applying Indian Oil scholarships 2012


The student should be aged from 15 years to 30 years as on 03 July 2012. There is 3 years age relaxation for students belonging to OBC, and SC / ST students will get 5 years age relaxation. 10 years of age is relaxed for the students with disabilities.



Reservation quota of Indian Oil scholarships 2012


50% of Indian Oil scholarships 2012 are reserved for SC / ST / OBC category students. And 25 percent of the scholarships are reserved for the girls under their caste category. Students with disabilities of 40% or more will get 10% reservation in IOCL scholarships.

Last date for applying Indian Oil scholarships 2012 is 30 September 2012. So hurry and apply for Indian Oil scholarships 2012 now.
