How to apply for NTPC Scholarships scheme for engineering students

NTPC has announced scholarships scheme for the students studying in engineering. Read on to know how to apply for scholarships scheme of NTPC and eligibility criteria to apply.

National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) is offering 35 scholarships to the engineering students under its Scholarships scheme. So let us see the procedure and eligibility criteria to apply for NTPC scholarships scheme.



Eligibility criteria to apply for scholarships


Following conditions must be fulfilled by the applicants for NTPC scholarships.
  • Applicant must be studying in third year of engineering.

  • Applicant must have passed first year engineering in 2011 in his first attempt.

  • Applicant must have passed second year of engineering in the year 2012.

  • Applicant must be studying in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science, Instrumentation or Electronics / Telecommunications branch of engineering.

  • Applicant must be studying in a college or university recognised by Govt. Of India.

  • Applicant must be studying in full time four year engineering course.

  • Applicant must belong to Schedule Caste / Schedule Tribe / Physically Challenged category to apply for the scholarship.




  • NTPC Scholarship amount and number of scholarships


    National Thermal Power Corporation that is NTPC is awarding total 35 scholarships to the third year engineering students of SC / ST / Physically challenged category. Scholarship amount is fixed as 1500 rupees per month. Out of 35 NTPC scholarships, 20 scholarships are reserved for Schedule Caste (ST) students. And 10 scholarships are reserved for ST engineering students and rest 05 are reserved for physically challenged students.

    So after checking the eligibility criteria thoroughly, if you feel that you are eligible to apply for this scholarships scheme, then first log on to www.ntpc.co.in website which is official site of NTPC. Then click on "Notices" link which is available on the top of the page. Here you will see "35 Scholarships for Scheduled Caste ..." So click on "Click here" button below that text. You will be redirected to a pdf document which contains the full guidelines, eligibility criteria and application too.

    So just take a print out of the application. Fill up the complete details and please provide the accurate and correct information. After filling up the full application form of Scholarship scheme, send the application to the address mentioned in the pdf document.

    Send the application well in advance so that the application can reach the address well before the last date of Scholarship scheme.

    Last date to apply for NTPC scholarships scheme is 25 September 2012. So hurry and apply now to get a scholarship from NTPC and build your career.
