Story of the movie
This romantic film is series of flowery feelings and sentiments like love, loss, friendship, separation and discovery. The film has more depictions in feelings than expressive words. If you have not viewed the film yet, then here is the short story of 'Barfi' as follows.
The film has a hero of Nepali origin who is deaf and mute by nature. He is named as 'Murphy' by his parents but everybody calls him as 'Barfi'. He is always smart and charming to all, especially to the women. He goes around the city of Darjeeling and becomes very popular in spite of being unable to speak and hear. His extra pleasant dealings result in sweet-sour relationships with two beautiful ladies of the time, Shruti and Jhilmil which brings a dramatic turning point in his career. If you watch the movie in full, you will definitely agree with me in saying that the songs and music of 'Barfi' are nicely worked upon to match the story. I am not sure whether the songs are pleasing to all, but its meaning and implications do go with sentiments and feelings portrayed in the film. The movie contains the following music tracks:

Key performances
As we know, Ranbir Kapoor just gets better every time he acts in a new film project and he has again proved it here. His performances, actions and expressions in this film are just matchless. He has piles of scores from this movie for his uncommon show in a different characterized faces. When you watch the movie deeply, you will surely note him down as an amusing mischief maker, expert lover, lively in his proposal and separation and above all his everlasting charm. All these factors rate him way ahead from his co-stars in the film.
Priyanka Chopra and Ileana D'Cruz play two autistic lead roles in the film. Other than this, the interesting part of performance is seen when Barfi is captured by the police officer Saurabh Shukla with repeated chases and Barfi escapes time and again. Thus it makes an entertaining part mixed with pure fun and amusement.

The peculiar aspect of this film is that the heart touching scenes and moments displayed in it will stay inside the innermost portion of your mind for a longer period of time.
