This is the article to describe a great personality Natarajan Chandrasekharan. He is the present CEO and MD of TCS. He started his profession as farmer and now he reached a great position. His qualifications are B.Sc applied sciences and MCA. He has improved profit rates to TATA CONSULTANCY SERVICES(TCS). We can learn leadership qualities in him on reading this article.
Childhood
Natarajan Chandrasekaran's native is Mohanoor in Tamil Nadu. He studied in Tamil mediun upto tenth standard. He studied his intermediatte in Tiruchi by working in hotel. He studied B.Sc applied sciences in coimbatore institute of technology at coimbatore. He was born with six brothers. One day his father said to look after the family and fields by doing agriculture. Respecting his father's words, he worked for six months as farmer after his degree. But he do not like to do so. When he told his problem to his father, he gave permission for his higher studies. He joined MCA in REC at Tiruchi in 1983.
Masters Degree
He joined MCA in REC at Tiruchi in 1983. MCA is the new course at that time. He faced many tensions that how will be the demand of that course and can he get jobs after completion. He did his project works in TCS. His helping partner said that if his project is good he will be recruted into TCS at that moment itself. However his project was very good. Without applying for the job, he got the offer letter to join in TCS.
JOB Experiences
He worked for TCS from 1987 as a software programmer. He worked in America and England. Around 1996 when he was working in England, he met CEO of TCS Ramdorai (CEO during 1996). There these both people visited two to three meetings and became more closer. From that time he worked as partner with Ramdorai for one year. He have choosen Ramdorai as inspiration.
Chief Operating Officer
In 2007, he worked as the chief operating officer in TCS. He became more busy that without completing first project itself other projects are alloted to him.
From 2009, he is working as CEO and MD for TCS. Every leader should have a dream. Only one CEO for 2,38,000 workers throughout the world is very difficult. To take every permissions from that CEO is very difficult. So he divided TCS into 23 groups. For every group CEO and workers are divided. This change gave good profits to the company.
In 2009, 33 thousand crore's is the profit whereas 55 thousand crore's is the profit. This made TCS to be in top position for profits.
Personal Life
His wife Lalitha worked as investment banker. After the birth of Pranav, she stop working. Their son is studing plus two at present. Every year two times in May and December months, he take leave and spends with his family by going for a tour. Trecking is his hobbey. He and his family went for many trecking tours. In this year(i.e in 2012) he is going to Himalayas.
He is a big fan of cricket. He follows cricket regularly. He is the fan to Rahul Dravid. His main hobbies are to read books about politics, business, science and newer technologies. In a small interview, he said that he will be going on learning more popular because of his positive attitude and leadership qualities in him.
Inspiration
Every leader should have a dream. To reach it you must face any type of problems. With any result you must be ready to be a leader. In any profession, if we are in leading position then you will be the leader. Keep in touch with each and every person you have met, because they may help you in any way throughout your life.
