Basic skill for business person is ability to organize and express which may be of three kinds internal, external and personal. Mostly customer communication is of personal communication that may either written or oral
Introduction:
As we are human being we need to communicate. Even in front of strangers in train, airplane we need to communication and it is the case of business men who always should communication to mostly persons not known the them but they should maintain a good communication.
Techniques:
Nowadays the main customer relationship and communication lies in IT'S BPOs. Their one must be skilled in technical and language. In any business customer satisfaction make business to be successful, pleasant. Communication activity differs from business to business. Insurance companies should use written communication but like house hold, automobile service needs personal communication.
Communication is not solely the transfer of information, but does maintaining positive relationship and it should be ethical. Also it should be from the customer point of view and it should take care of the literacy level of customers. Thus customer communication skills are listening, interviewing, providing information and problem solving skills. These skills need to be developed. Old style of training will be of no help nowadays, we need to facilitate new techniques. Self developed theory, technical coaching will help skill building.
Group dynamics may play an importan role in customer communication. Customers may be in group for various reasons based on family tradition, friends, personal motivation etc. One has to be clear in communication when address a group.
Also in business, communication through advertisement play a vital role. Catchy advertisement makes customer to pull towards the products, a special emotional touch is another interesting feature in advertisement. Eg., 1. Cricket Player Yuvaraj singh by saying his illness and after cure how he is now. 2. Mother-baby personal touch in many advertisements.
Conclusion:
Since business is based on customer, customer communication is very important. To conclude, I just want to add a story which may best explain how customer communication should be. A working mother who is bothered about her little daughter that she is not able to spend time with her wanted her to take out. She is taking her to a fair where she is explaining and enjoying telling her and thought she would be happy. But she wanted to return to home. Mother wondered and bowed to her and asked why? And suddenly she said Oh! God. Why she is exclaimed? Simple reason is the from the height of the daughter she couldn't able to see any of the things in fair instead she could see only the dust and waste. Then she realized and picked up. Thus customer communication should be always in the shoes of customer.
