The schedule of the intermediate examination of Andhra Pradesh Board of intermediate Education has been officially announced by the Minister for Secondary Examination, K. Parthasarathy on November 23, 1012. The examination (theory) for the intermediate first year students will begin on March 6, 2013 and the examination (theory) for the second year students will commence from March 7, 2013. The practical examinations for the inter students will be held between February 6 and February 25, 2013 (both days inclusive). Intermediate students will also have to take the Environmental Education Exam which is mandatory and will be held on January 31, 2013 from 10 am to 1 pm.
The number of students who have registered for the Inter first year examination to be held in 2013 is 9,83,418 and that for Inter second year examination the number of the registered students is 9,94,001.
According to the Minister for Secondary Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh, the schedule for holding Intermediate Examination has been formulated in such a way that the intermediate examination will not stand in the way of the students appearing for several competitive examinations.
Some new decisions taken by the BIE for the Inter Exam to held in March 2013.
It will be for the first time that a jumbling system will be introduced for intermediate practical examination. This is being done to check irregularities. Hitherto the students used to take practical examination in their colleges of study.
The Board of Intermediate Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh has announced another important decision on November 26, 2012 about Tatkal scheme for students who might have failed to pay examination fee within the deadline for the inter examination to be held in March 2013. As per this scheme, if the students pay a Tatkal fee of Rs.500, they will be allowed to pay the examination fee from November 28, 2012 to December 10, 2012. The Tatkal fee will be in addition to the normal Inter first year fee of Rs.240 and the intermediate second year fee of Rs.240. An additional fee of Rs.500 has to be paid in the form of attendance exemption fee by those students who will be seeking attendance exemption. The fees have to be paid in the respective colleges of the students. The colleges will then forward the applications of the students to the board. However, the students will be allowed to write the examinations at the centres allotted to them by the Board of Intermediate Education (BIE).
