All India Creative Audio Script Writing Contest (2008)

Entry

Eligibility:

All citizens of India are eligible for the contest. The writers of submitted material must be 18 years of age or older.
Employees of CIET /NCERT including its subordinate offices and
their relatives are not eligible to participate in this contest.

Theme:

The thought-provoking idea can be a path breaking invention or, a revolutionary event or, an inspiring personality that changed and shaped the life or world.
* The theme is expected to cross trans-subject boundaries.

Target profile
School students in the age range of 12-16 years

GUIDELINES OF SCRIPT FORMAT

1. Scripts must be submitted in Hindi or English.

2. FORMAT of the script can be Radio drama or Radio feature or Documentary narration or Docu-drama, but it should be audiogenic and interesting.

3. Scripts should be of 15 to 20 minute duration. Script will not be disqualified if it is longer or shorter than these specified lengths. However, for your own benefit we highly recommend that you adhere to these instructions.

4. The script must be either hand written neat or readable or word processed in a preferable format, set in 12-point Krutidev/Courier/Times Roman font.

5. Type the script in double space single-sided on plain white A4 size paper. Pages must be numbered. If you're submitting your script by mail, please make sure there are no missing or duplicated pages.

6. Include a standard title page listing the title of your script, name of script writer, mailing address, telephone number, and email address. Judging will be anonymous, so we will delete or black out your name and contact information before we give your script to the judges. They will identify your script by title and number only.

7. Under no circumstances information of the scriptwriter should be included within the body of your script.

SUBMISSION METHODS:

1. Script may be submitted either: BY POST OR ONLINE as an Adobe Acrobat .pdf file (preferred), or as a Microsoft Word Document.

Deadline of Submission:

Deadlines for the submission of All India Creative Audio Script Writing Contest (2008) are as follows: on or before June 15, 2008

RULES & REGULATIONS:

Please read these rules and guidelines carefully. Any submission that does not comply with contest rules and regulations may be disqualified.

1. All manuscript should be original and unpublished and may not be encumbered by any third party. Simultaneous submissions are not permitted. The author must give an undertaking saying "I certify that the manuscript entitled "___________________________________" is my original work and has not been borrowed or copied from any other source." * Adaptations of books or other source material written by another author are not eligible under any circumstances; nor are scripts adapted from other source material.

2. Each participant should submit four copies of the manuscript indicating the title of the manuscript, thematic synopsis and number of pages used in the manuscript.

3. The writer should write his/her name and complete address with e-mail/ fax / phone on one copy only.

4. The prize-winning entries will be treated as the copy right of the CIET /NCERT

5. Decisions of the judges are final and may not be disputed. The coordinators of this contest may not be held responsible for any errors or omissions on the part of the judges.

6. In all matters and disputes, decision of the Joint Director, Central Institute of Educational Technology /NCERT, New Delhi will be final and binding

Prize:
The first prize is Rs.15,000.
The second prize is Rs.10,000
The third prize is Rs.5,000
The consolation prize is Rs.3,000.
