Admission-2013 into FootWear Design and Development Institute(FDDI) for PG, UG, Integrated Programm

Profile of Footwear Design and Development Institute (FDDI)

FDDI was setup by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India in 1986 to provide human resource to the technical service of Industry. With in two decades it has reached World wide reputation and got most prestigious ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification. The institute conducts a wide range of professional programmes in the area of Footwear and Design, Fashion Design, Leather Design,CAD/CAM, Business Management. The duration of the courses is 2 to 5 years. FDDI Campuses provide modern facilities, up to date Technology and tools to provide top class environment learning. The eight campuses of FDDI are located in NOIDA, Fuisatganj, Chennai, Kolkota, Rohtak, Chindwara, Jodhpur, Guna.

Courses offered by FDDI, number of seats, Tution Fee for Semister

Master Degree Program Courses (2 Years)

MBA (Fashion Merchandising and Retail Management), Total number of Seats:210 (30 Seats in each of the eight campuses except Guna campus), Fee per Semester: Rs.75,000

MBA (Footwear Design and Production Management), Total number of seats: 210 (30 seats each in eight campuses except Guna campus), Fee for semester: Rs.75,000

MDes(Creative Design and CAD&CAM),Total number of seats:30(Available only in NOIDA campus), Fee for semester:75,000

Bachelor Degree Programmes (4 Years)

BDes (Footwear Design and Production Management)

A total 450 seats are available in this course. 60 seats are available in each campuses of NOIDA, Fuisatganj, Chennai, Kolkota, Rohtak and 30 seats each in Jodhpur and Guna. Tuition fee for semester for this course is Rs.60,000.

BDes (Fashion Design)

A total of 180 seats are available in this course. 60 seats are available in NOIDA campus, 30 each in Fuisatganj, Chennai, Kolkota, Rohtak. Tuition fee for this course for semester is Rs.60,000.

BDes (Leather goods and Accessories Design)

A total of 120 seats are available in this course. 60 seats are available in NOIDA, 30 seats each in Fuisatganj and Kolkota. Tuition fee for each semester is 60,000.

Integrated Programmes (5 Year courses)

Retail Management(BBA+MBA)

A total of 360 seats are available in this course. 60 seats are available in each of the campuses of NOIDA, Fuisatganj, Rohtak, Chindwara and Jodhpur, 30 seats each in Chennai and Kolkota. Fee for semester for this course is Rs.65,000 for 1-3 years and Rs.75,000 for4-5 years.

Business Management (MBA+BBA)-5 years course

A total number of 120 seats are available in this course. 60 seats of each are available in NOIDA and Rohtak campuses. Fee for semester for this course is Rs.65,0000 for 1-3 years and Rs.75,000 for 4-5 years.

Mode of Admission into these courses

Candidates have to appear for an entrance test conducted by FDDI separately for PG and UG programs. Basing on the merit rank obtained in this test admissions will be given to various courses.

Structure of Admission Test

FDDI entrance exam will be of two and half hours duration. A total 150 Multiple choice questions have to be answered by the candidates.

For PG programs entrance Test, the distribution of questions and marks will be as below:

Section A: Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning: 45 questions and 45 marks

Section B: English: 45 questions and 45 marks

Section C: General Awareness: 30 questions and 30 marks

Section D: Business Aptitude: 30 questions and 30 marks

For UG Programs entrance Test, the distribution of questions and marks as follows:

Section A: Mathematics: 45 questions and 45 marks

Section B: General Science: 30 questions and 30 marks

Section C: English: 45 questions and 45 marks

Section D: General awareness: 30 questions and 30 marks

Entrance Test of FDDI is Computer based and the candidate has to take the exam in the specified and allotted center and on specified date&time.

Eligibility Criteria

For Master Degree Programs, a candidates must pass in any Degree course. For Bachelor Degree programs, a candidates must possess 10+2 pass certificate. For Integrated Programs, a candidate must possess 10+2 Pass certificate.

How to Apply for All India Selection Test (AIST)?

Applicants can apply various programs of PG or UG or Integrated programs in one Application only according to the preference of courses. Applicants can apply courses of PG only in PG Application form and similarly UG courses in UG Application form only. If the candidates desire to apply for both the courses of PG and UG they have to apply in two different application forms.

Applications can be purchased directly from FDDI campus at NOIDA, Raibareilly, Chennai, Kolkota, Chindwara, Rohtak, Jodhpur. The prospectus can also be procured fro branches of AXIS Bank across India and also can be downloaded from the official website You can also get application form by taking a DD worth Rs.500 in favor of "FDDI" payable at New Delhi to FDDI, NOIDA along with a self addressed envelop. You have to mention your address at the back side of the DD.

Candidates also can download Prospectus and Application form from the Official website of FDDI, Filled in application form can be sent along with the DD taken for Rs.500 in favor of FDDI.

Application form must be duly filled with submitting relevant documents. You have to choose 4 centers of you preference to write computer based AIST Test conducted by FDDI. The examination will be conducted in 31 centers. Candidates have to apply the earliest so that they can have the chance to get their desired center. FDDI allots the exam centers to the candidates on first come first served basis.

Date of Entrance Test: 14/06/2013, 15/06/2013 and 16/06/2013

Date for Counseling: for PG Programs: 8th and 9th of June,2013

for UG Programs: 10th,11th and 12th of June 2013
