Admissions-2013 into MBBS, BDS, BE, B.Tech through Combined Entrance Test by Dibrugarh University
In this article I am giving about the Combined Entrance Examination (CEE), 2013 conducted by Dibrugarh University, Assam for the admissions of candidates into MBBS, BDS, B.E., B.Tech courses in Assam. In this article I gave an account of eligibility criteria for the admission test, the number of seats available in each course, how to apply for the admission test, mode of entrance test, important dates for the entrance examination etc.
About Combined Entrance Examination
The Combined entrance Examination (CEE), 2013 is conducted by Dibrugarh University, Assam for the admission of candidates into MBBS/BDS/B.E./B.tech courses into the Colleges and Institutes of Assam. The Combined entrance Exam will be held on 18th-19th May, 2013.
Number of Seats available in each Course
MBBS- Total Number of Seats available: 626 (State Quota Seats: 503)
BDS- Total number of seats available: 40 (State quota Seats: 16)
Engineering Courses (4 years): Assam Engineering College, Guwahathi: 420 Seats;
Jorhat Engineering College, Jorhat: 315 Seats
Jorhat Institute of Science and Technology, Jorhat: 120 Seats
Bineswar Brahma Engineering College, Kokrajhar: 120
The candidate applying for these course must be a citizen of India and a permanent resident of Assam. Candidates can apply for any one of the course or more than one course if the qualification of the candidate is suitable for that course.
Candidates must qualify Higher Secondary Examination of Assam Council or equivalent exam without any grace marks and should pass Physics, Mathematics/Biology, Chemistry and English in same sitting, with a minimum 60% marks of aggregate taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology (for SC/ST minimum marks 505 only). Candidates age should not be below 17 years and should not be above 24 years by December 31st.

Selection of candidates to these course is strictly based on the merit rank got by the candidate in the Combined Entrance Examination (CEE).
Pattern of Examination for CEE-2013
The syllabus: NCERT syllabus followed by Council of Assam Higher Secondary Education. Questions will be of Multiple Choice type (MCQ's). Number of questions given in Mathematics/Biology: 100 questions (180 minutes); Physics: 100 questions (180 minutes); Chemistry: 100 questions (180 minutes). Each correct answer carries 1 mark and no negative marks will be there for wrong answer.
Those who are seeking admission into MBBS/BDS courses must appear in Physics, Chemistry and Biology exams in entrance test. Those who are seeking admission in Engineering courses must appear Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in the entrance exam. Those candidates who are appearing for both the courses must appear for Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Candidates can choose any of the following centers for writing their entrance exam: Silchar, Bongaigon, Nalbari, Lakhimpur, Gauwahati, Tezpur, Nagaon, Jorhat, Dibrughar.
Time Table for CEE Exam
18th May, 2013- Saturday: Physics (10.30 AM to 12.30 PM); Chemistry (2.00 PM to 4 PM)
19th May, 2013- Sunday: Biology (10.30 AM to 12.30 PM); Mathematics (2.00 PM to 4.00 PM).
How to Apply for Combined Entrance Examination/
Candidates have to fill the Application Form on online available from the official website www.dibru.ac.in or www.ceemedu.org.in Fill in the online Application with correct details, A recent passport photograph of the size 35kb in jpg format to be uploaded in the place provided in the online Application form. A scanned full signature of the candidate of the size of 35kb has to be uploaded to print below the photograph. Candidates have to be careful writing their name, date of birth and center of exam chosen for writing the CEE test. A print out of the filled in online Application Form has to be taken and also an extra copy to preserve it personal purpose. By taking the print outs of the State Bank of India Challan Forms (3 copies), the prescribed fee for applying for CEE test to be paid in State Bank of India to the Account No: 32272329232. Candidates who are appearing MBBS/BDS Courses or Engineering Courses have to pay an amount of Rs.900. Candidates who are opting for both the courses have to pay an amount of Rs.1100. The print out of the filled in online Application Form along with a copy of Bank Challan duly paid fee has to be sent to the following address: Member Secretary, Cell, CEE, 2013, Dibrughar University, Assam by 2nd May, 2013. But the Fee to be paid by 27th April, 2013.
