Apeejay Stya University is a private university situated in Gurgaon. It is the first liberal Arts and Meta university in the country which is focused on research and technology. Apeejay Stya University imparts education in the field of Mass communication, Designing, Management, Pharmacy, Fine arts, Clinical research, Humanities etc. The university is run by the well known Apeejay Education society which was started by the famous educationist Dr Stya Paul. He was the founder of Apeejay education society which runs various colleges across the country. The university has industrial linkages with various companies and has a good placement record.
Admission in BA (Hons) in Journalism & Mass Communication
The duration of this course is 4 years. The course includes studies in the following areas:
2)Television Production & Broadcast Journalism
5)Advertising Management and Creativity
1)Candidates should obtain atleast 60 % marks in 10+2.
2)Candidates appearing in their final examination are eligible to apply.
Mode of selection
The selection of candidates will be based on the marks scored in class 12 board exams.
Fees for the programme
The fees for the programme is Rs 2,20,000 per year. The students are eligible for Foundation Years' Scholarship offered by Apeejay Stya group. The scholarship will be offered from 2010(starting year of the university to 2016 (year in which Apeejay Stya group completes 50 years) based on the marks scored in 10+2 and the amount of scholarship ranges from Rs70,000 to Rs 2,10,000. Additional charges that are applicable every year are:
1)Development fees - Rs. 10000 per year
2)Online Book Bank Fee – Rs. 2000 per year
3)Security Fee – Rs. 5000
Rs 90000 per year (For single seater)
Rs 80000 per year (For double seater)
Hostel fees for Dr. Stya Paul Memorial Scholarship Holders is as follows:
Rs 50000 per year (For single seater)
Rs 45000 per year (For double seater)
