Josef Fritzl an Australian as been in the news for the past one week for holding his daughter as sexual slave in a dungeon built in his house. This 75-year-old man had fathered seven children with his daughter who had spent 24 years in the dungeon. Of the seven children, one them died and he got rid of it by tossing it into an incinerator. He adopted three of the children legally as his grand children while the remaining three have never seen sunlight in their life.
His motive was to recreate a life similar to his legal family with a beautiful younger woman. Fritzl deceived everyone by saying that Elizabeth had joined a religious cult and said she had mysteriously dropped her kids in his doorstep for being taken care. Her mother and her six siblings lived above her dungeon unaware of her plight leading a normal life while she suffered in the underground in a windowless room along with her three children.
Joseph got into trouble when his eldest daughter with Elizabeth fell seriously ill and hence had to take her to a hospital. The doctors found a letter written by Elizabeth asking the doctors to save her daughter in the girl’s pocket. Unable to find the reason for her illness the doctors announced in the TV asking the missing mother to come forward with her medical records.
The police then raided Fritzl house and found the dungeon. Seven doors guarded it, one of them was made of concrete weighing about eight tones, and the last three doors had electrical locks on them and can be opened only with a password.
