Analytic Thinking:

Having the ability to think analytically and logically is essential for getting success in every walk of a life. It's thisquality that distinguishes a wise and intelligent person from an ordinary person. In the fields of computer science and engineering it's the ability to think analytically, logically and precise thinking that distinguishes a good engineer from the rest. Precise thinking means the architect, designer and an engineer should be clear about the end result she/he wants to achieve at the end of the day. There should be no ambiguity whatsoever in the mind of an architect, designer and engineer. For getting a maximum success and to reach the peak the person should be focused and ideally should have a very composed personality. A composed personality means a person should be aware of the reason behind all his/her actions. For example if I am writing this to Elixir technologies I should know the reason and motive behind it. In my case I don't want to achieve any benefits or gains from Elixir technologies whatsoever but just want to see the realization of my life dream and maybe in my posts there is every possibility that out of thousand
ideas one of my idea is liked by Elixir and then it implements and moves forward.

How to develop the analytic thinking and how to know how to behave and respond in different but challenging scenarios? The answer is very simple. We should just take out of ourselves from the circle and should think about the situation as if some Mr. Y is facing the situation that we are facing right now. For example if a project is getting delayed and delayed and that project is very critical for the firm as well then in such a tight situation what should a
program manager do? She/he should be relaxed as possible and should just view the situation from the observer's eyes. For example project manager can visualize some virtual company `A' that are facing the situation as his/her firm and should also take into account the available resources and time schedule and then should propose the solutions for taking out of this problem on a piece of paper. But project manager should be relaxed and calm at that time
also. She/he may enjoy music of his/her choice at that time, may sit in some beautiful garden and may also discuss the about the imaginative and virtual situation with her/his beloved while enjoying a candle light dinner. But there is no need to tell others that she/he is actually facing the existing situation as it may put extra pressure on the good-will advisors. She/he should just present the situation as if she/he is talking about some imaginative and virtual firm having no physical existence and may get an idea or two from the online groups and discussion boards. Hopefully by keeping things simple and straight forward a project manager and of course a firm will handle a challenging task in the smooth manner as possible. And the same principle can be applied in the every possible situation. For example to design an easy to understand user interface and user document the designer should first take him/her out of the situation and should think from the user point of view,
i.e. what the user expects and wants. Hopefully such a thinking and visualization will help a designer in a great way.

Ram...
