This is the good initiative on the part of author to bring in the details on how to join the new party called AAP. The citizens are thinking that AAP is restricted to Delhi Politics only and they are not fanning out to other states. If people residing in other state becomes member, then what is the guarantee that AAP is going to function from there. So Arvind Kejriwal must come out with clarification regarding his program in detail as the Lok Sabha elections are going to be held in April/May this year without fail. In fact he must visit the South India first.

It is a good article giving a bird's eye view on Kejriwal and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Kejriwal is a shrewd politician knowing where the pulse of the people lie. He has ambition and leadership qualities. While in service, he availed every available benefit for his personal gains and quit after getting the benefits. He started his own organization Public Cause Research Foundation to take up public causes.

During that time around 2010, Anna Hazare who was a social reformer was growing in popularity for his fight against corruption. Kejriwal identified Anna movement as the ladder for him (Kejriwal) to climb up for his ambition of power. He became very close to Anna and tried to hijack the entire movement to sub serve him, and was strategizing the Ann movement for his personal gains. Anna put a brake and forced kejriwal to fend for himself. By that time due to his public statements Kejriwal has already caught the imagination of a large section of the population and it was easy for Kejriwal to have his political party. The timing was perfect.

People were angry with the Congress and were thinking of giving BJP (which the people rejected in 2004)another chance under Modi but were not very happy with that party also. Just at that time Kejriwal plunged into politics with his AAP and contested Delhi elections. Since it was so sudden, the people had little time to decide. However, the people quickly rallied around AAP and made it come very near to power on its own. This achievement within such a short time has galvanized the public opinion in its favor overwhelmingly and many eminent persons in their respective fields are eager to contest from AAP ticket in 2014. As things stand now, AAP can expect to win from about 150 seats in Loksabha making it a major National party on par with the INC and BJP.

Personally I do not consider that any change will be there in the condition of the people as any party coming to power has to work within the existing set up and there is very little room for maneuvering. However, this development of AAP is welcome. Earlier we had 3 alternatives to decide from, in the Congress, BJP and the Left. The Left has become redundant by now and we had only 2 parties but both being similar in many respects. Now we will have one more choice in AAP at least for one or two General elections.

Great work by the author in listing the details about how a common man can become a part of the most talked about political party i.e. Aam Aadmi Party. AAP has performed extremely well in a short span of time and thus has won man y hearts across India. People are willing to help AAP for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and many even want to join this party. I didn't know that joining AAP was so simple. It is good to know the simple joining process for AAP and I am sure people joining AAP will do the right things to help the party achieve it's objectives related to anti-corruption.
