Admission Criteria for Postgraduate Courses in AMRITA

Eligibility
The minimum qualification to apply for admission to both M.A. [Communication] and PGDJ
Programme is a Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3 years of education) in any discipline which is
recognised by the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi, or any degree equivalent to the
Bachelor’s Degree.
Those appearing for the final year of the Bachelor’s Degree Examination may also apply subject
to completing writing their examinations, if any, before joining the Programme. Such candidates
will however have to fulfill the above eligibility requirements in respect of minimum academic
qualifications for admission. Eligible candidates with appropriate industry experience have an
added advantage.
CAPTEST 2008
All candidates seeking admission to Amrita School of Communication for the PG programmes
will be put through a selection process conducted by the school called CAPTEST at the
Ettimadai campus of the Amrita University.
Instructions to apply
1) The application can be obtained by post by sending an amount of Rs 350 by DD. The DD
should be drawn in favour of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amrita School of
Communication, payable at Coimbatore. The duly filled in application form should be mailed
to The Admissions Coordinator (Communication), Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Ettimadai
Post, Coimbatore - 641 105.
2) Sending the Downloaded form: Applications can also be downloaded from this website. The
downloaded application form duly filled should be sent with a Demand Draft for Rs.350/.
Candidates applying for both the courses will have to send two separate application forms
alongwith two separate demand drafts.
3) Filled in application form should reach the Admissions Coordinator (Communication).
4) All Demand Drafts to be drawn in favour of 'Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham' from any
recognised bank and payable at Coimbatore.
Nature of CAPTEST 2008
CAPTEST is an examination in Creative Writing, Group Discussion, Elocution & Personal
Interview.
