Amrita’s PGDJ programme provides students an opportunity to make a lateral entry into our
M.A. [Communication] programme during the second year in the print specialization stream.

Objectives

1. To familiarise the students with the working of the print media
2. To develop working skills needed for newspapers
3. To develop understanding of development and its relationship with media
4. To develop writing skills for different formats of writing used in print media
5. To develop aptitude and competence to analyse and interpret the events
6. Focus of the course will be on journalism
