HOW TO APPLY?
The application form can be submitted through ONLINE . Send the hard copy (in A4 size bond sheet) along with Bank Challan for the prescribed fee and the copies of required certificates. The Application Form and Information Brochure can also be obtained through post by writing to “The Deputy Registrar (Academic II) Pondicherry University, R.V. Nagar, Kalapet, Puducherry – 605014” along with the Bank Challan towards the cost of the application form. A self - addressed envelope of size 32 x 25 cms with postal stamps worth Rs40/- (Registered Parcel) must be enclosed.
Use separate application form for each programme. The envelope requesting for application form must be superscribed "Request for application form for admission" . The application form is also available with the Pondicherry University Staff Co-operative Credit Society at the University Campus on payment of the cost of application form plus Rs.10/- as service charge.
Application Fee :
MCA & MBA – Rs.600/- (Rs.200/- for SC/ST/Physically and Visually Challenged candidates); other courses – Rs.300/- (Rs.100/- for SC/ST/Physically and Visually Challenged candidates). Enclose relevant Certificate in case of SC/ST & Physically Challenged.

Application fee may be credited at Pondicherry University Account in any of the following banks all over India under Core Banking System:
1. Any of the branches of Indian Bank with instruction to credit it to Account No.413264148 along with Challan Number. ( OR )

Mode of Selection :
MBA/MCA/M.Tech – Based on entrance examination marks (85%) + interview / Group Discussion (15%) : Other PG/M.Phil/P.G Diploma – Based on the entrance examination marks; Ph.D – Based on entrance examination marks (50%) + PG marks upto 3 rd Semester (40%) + Interview (10%).
Reservations :
Reservations for SC/ST, Physically Challenged and Puducherry students, will be applicable to the extent indicated in the Information Brochure.

Travelling Allowance for Interview
II Class Sleeper train/bus fare will be provided to the candidates called for interview for Ph.D. Programmes of the University Departments, if the distance travelled is beyond 500 kms, on production of original tickets.
Scholarships
Merit Scholarship, Merit cum Means Scholarship (including Hindi and Sanskrit Scholarship) and Freeships are available to deserving students of PG degree programmes. All the Full time scholars admitted to M.Phil and Ph.D. Programmes of the University will be eligible for a fellowship of Rs.3000/- p.m & Rs.5000/-p.m respectively subject to final approval by MHRD.
Scholarships @ Rs.750 p.m. are also available to all students during first three years of Five year Integrated Master of Science Courses.
