After the results

If you are successful and are allotted a home through the MHADA lotter, in addition to the cost of the flat, you will have to pay (in the concerned Government department):
  1. Appropriate stamp duty

  2. Appropriate service tax

  3. The requisite Maharashtra Value Added Tax (MVAT)

You will not get physical possession of the flat if you do not submit as proofs the receipts of payment of all the above listed taxes. In addition, you will need to submit your Aadhaar (UID) Card number before taking possession of the allotted flat.

Important tips: As soon as you get receipts of payment of the requisite taxes, it is advisable to make multiple photocopies of these, along with a photo copy of your Aadhaar card so that in case you misplace the original, you will at least have the photocopies as proofs.
