Soups - Ingredients and Preparation


Soups are very delicious and healthy food item. Soups can be made with vegetables and non vegetables. It can be easily prepared in the home in a short time with the help of a microwave oven. Here given the ingredients and preparation of tomato soup, onion soup fish soup and cream of mushroom soup.

Tomato Soup

Ingredients

Tomato: 800g
Sliced onion: 1no
Tomato sauce: 1 table spoon
Olive oil: 2 table spoon
sugar: 1 table spoon
Carrot: 1no
Vegetable or chicken stock: 1dl
Crushed garlic: 1 table spoon

Preparation

Rive the tomatoes and cook it for 7 to 8 minutes at 750W, so that its skin can be removed easily. Then chop it . Take a shallow dish, pour some olive oil, garlic and onion and cook uncovered for 3 to 4 minutes at 750W. Now add the chopped tomatoes, carrots and mix well. Later add the tomato sauce, cover it and cook for 4 to 5 minutes at 750W. Pour sugar, stir well and cook it again for 10 minute at 750W. Stir well. Now cover it with vegetable or chicken stock and cook uncovered for 4 to 5 minutes. Tomato sauce is almost ready. For a special touch add some basil leaves just before serving.

Fish Soup

Ingredients

Frozen fillets fish: 500g
Shelled prawns: 100g
Onion: 1no
Pepper: As per taste
Celeriac: 50g
Peas: 200g
tomatoes: 4no
Butter: 1 table spoon
Vegetable stock cube: 1
Water: 4 glass
Tarragon: 1/2 table spoon
Saffron: 3ml
Parsley salt: 1 bunch

Preparation

Dice the fillets. Wash and slice the pepper and onion. Peel and finally dice the celeriac. Place the vegetables in a container, cover it and cook it for 4 minutes at 750W. Now add the fish, chopped tomatoes, herbs, stock cube, peas and 2 glasses of water. Cover it and cook it 8 minutes at 750W. Now add the prawns and the remaining glasses of water, cook it for 2 minutes at full power. Later add the salt as per taste. Fish sauce is now almost complete. As a special touch, add some parsely and lemon juice for extra flavor.

Onion Soup

ingredients

Onion: 200g
Butter: 2 table spoon
Stock: 3 glass
Bay leaf: 1no
Salt: As per taste
Pepper: As per taste

Preparation

Peel the onion and slice it. Place it on a dish with butter, cover it and cook for 4 to 5 minute at 750W. Now add the stock and bay leaf and continue cooking on a full power for 6 to 7 minutes until the soup come to the boil. Now add the salt and pepper. Onion soup is now ready for serving.

Cream of Mushroom Soup

Slice Mushrooms: 200g
Butter: 2 table spoon
Sliced onion: 1no
Flour: 2 table spoon
Milk: 250ml
Vegetable stock: 1
Salt: As per taste
Pepper: As per taste

Preparation

First melt the butter in a dish for 1 to 2 minute at 500W. Now add the mushroom and onion and cook for 8 minute at 750W. Now add the flour and stir well. Then add the vegetable stock and cook it for 6 to 7 minute at 750W. Again stir by adding the milk and cook for 4 minute. Mushroom soup is now almost ready. As a final touch add some parsley for garnishing.
