History

Fatima Sana Shaikh is a well known Bollywood actress, dancer and a photographer. She belong to mumbai city. She has learnt dancing in Danceworx academy. She has done many roles in several Bollywood movies and television serials. She was appreciated for her acting in Chachi 420 (1997) as a baby girl Bharti. This was her debut bollywood movie.

Fatima in Dangal

Fatima Sana Shaikh has played the role of Geeta Phogat in the movie Dangal. The other star casts in the movie are Aamir Khan, Sanya Malhotra and Sakshi Tanwar. The movie is a biopic on wrestler Mahavir Phogat who had taught wrestling to his two daughters and eventually the hardwork was evident in olympics. The other new comer Sanya Malhotra is playing the role of Babita Phogat in the movie.

During the course of shooting, Fatima had got injured while doing a wrestling sequel. Her ankle got twisted while practicing wrestling moves. Immediately, the orthopedic doctor had been called and she was advised to take rest for next ten days. There after, she started doing the shots which didn't involve any wrestling moves.

One of the crew member said "A specialist was immediately called in on the sets. Fatima has been advised to rest for the next 10 days and meanwhile will only be rehearsing and shooting for scenes which do not involve any wrestling."

Career

Fatima has started her career with Chachi 420 which was released in the year 1997. She played the role of small girl named Bharti who was daughter of Jaiprakash Paswan and Janki Paswan. In the movie, her parents has segregated due to personal clashes because of which she had to suffer. But her father often managed to managed to meet her by changing her identity into Chachi. Atlast, he did convienced his wife and everything was settled down.

In the year 2001, she had shown her appearance in movie One 2 Ka 4 with star casts as Sharukh Khan and Juhi Chawla. She played the role of Zoya in te movie Tahaan which was released in 2008. She had also worked in comedy movie Bittoo Boss and romantic film Akaash Vani.
