How to use external link without any issue - nofollow link tips

In this article, you will know how to use nofollow link to be safer side from Google perspective. Since Google has warned bloggers or webmaster to avoid about external link usage from Sponsor or Business firm, thus, online publisher or blogger has to be very careful on accepting the guest post with an external link and make sure that it has nofollow tag than dofollow tag. Learn what is external link, dofollow link, nofollow link, guest post and paid post detail etc.

The search engine giant like Google, Yahoo and MSN etc. normally updates the search engine requirement based on their advertiser or business requirement to keep its search engine business flow without any issue from anyone including online publishers or any relevant websites. Thus, it updates every now and then for search engine terms and condition to all online publishers or webmaster or bloggers. This time Google has brought concern and updates about external link that uses by the publishers which finally affect their business in a direct or an indirect way. So, you should know
what is an external link and its pros and cons to move further.

There could be many unknown reasons for it but only few things can be known by many which is 'paid' (external link) post, the second one is, unnatural external link, too much external links in a blog, the advertiser direct do business with the blogger or bloggers' community rather than an advertiser contacting to Google for its business. There could be many reason as such which many unaware, thus, Google has gently sent reminder to many of the online publishers including old bloggers and the new one in general on this subject.

You can find the following link where Google emphasize about external link issue or dofollow link issue. Thus, one external link out of ten different posts can be acceptable if publisher's try to go in this way but it seems there are the cases where one out of two posts has external link (might be paid link too) on a blog or many dofollow (external or paid) links which concern in general for search engine businesses and its giant etc.

Here you will find the differences between external link, paid link, dofollow link and nofollow link details. I am explaining them in a layman language, so, that everybody can understand it.

What is external link

This is opposite to the internal link process, it means the external link is not related to the same blog where post is done. This external clickable link for certain keyword is of other website or blog where the other blog or subject post's sponsor request to publish the article along with their official link to use it effectively for their online business and traffic. It is a kind of backlink for inward traffic through visitors.

What is dofollow link

This is a clickable external link where no html tag of 'rel = no follow' exist and this is a direct link to other site or blog from the published webpage. It is also external link directly. It is normally requesting by the Sponsor or Guest post bloggers for their traffic and benefit.

What is nofollow link

Nofollow link is like if you write any topic that interested you to publish on your blog and then found that you wish to share other's quality and relevant blog's link in it then it will be also considered as external link, to avoid external link juice from search engine perspective and penalty, the external link html tag shall have 'rel = no follow' in it to avoid any remark. You may find the below example for 'no follow' tag. This is the best procedure for external link to use without any remark or penalty from search engine giant.

What is Guest post

It is nothing but other website blogger used to draft the article and ask to a different blogger's to publish the article in one of the blog as a free to get a free (external) link to gain traffic from a different site. In this, the one who publish not necessarily has to pay for the free post but he / she has to give back a free external link that too dofollow link, which might create an issue from search engine perspective.

What is paid post

There are two scenario over here. One is fully paid to the writer by blogger and get its complete rights to publish on blogger's blog without any external link. The other one is, like a general contest or a voucher contest where the blogger himself / herself has to write and publish with the sponsor's external link (most probably 'dofollow' link).

In general, one out of ten blog posts external link won't create that much issue but if there is one out of every two posts and its external (do follow) link might create issue from search engine perspective. So, if you use dofollow (or external) link then make sure that it is used very rare, or, try to use 'rel = nofollow' link.

Note: You can Google to know the sample on differences between dofollow links and nofollow links to understand its concept better. There is a different process on how to add 'nofollow' link for blogspot and wordpress or custom domain etc. go through the example given online to proceed accordingly.
