Why our nationalists need to calm down

The chaos happening in our nation because of recent anti social event is becoming a major issue. It is really very important to stop these issues or else it will become a great threat to our nation. Read the article to know more about the on going national movements.

India is running high on energy. Everywhere, in everything. Recent events have brought out a completely different site in the world's largest democracy; a site not as beautiful as the pictures in Incredible India posters. There is chaos, there is unrest; there is a lot of hullabaloo. The question is: Why and why now?

Kanhaiya Kumar episode triggering the students

While many say that Kanhaiya Kumar episode was a staged one, there is no denial that our education institutions are slowly becoming cradles of antisocial and anti national elements. How did education institutions shift from being centres of knowledge to centre of unnecessary, unwanted and illogical politics? How did students who are supposed to study, learn and build things jump into irrational debates? Students nowadays talk a lot about freedom of speech without understanding the sign meaning, significance and importance of the phrase. Any measure taken to correct and cut antinational sentiments is easily overpowered and hue and cry of freedom of speech. There seems to be little understanding in today's generation regarding when to raise a voice and when to stay shut. We seriously need to ponder over.

The row over nationalism manifested itself yet again in the NIT Srinagar campus. The most devastating aspect of the conflict was over a cricket match. How can a match lead to serious violent conflicts is perhaps beyond comprehension of every sane individual who seeks reason for anything? Why did a bunch of students shouting anti Indian slogan bring so much of unrest to a relatively calm institution campus forcing the state chief minister to intervene?

Community denying to chant slogan 'Bharat Mata ki jai'

The country has been entangled in a debate on the question of nationalism since the Jawaharlal Nehru University quarrel and the controversy because of certain leaders who refused to chant 'Bharat Mata ki Jai' has added fuel to fire.
Also, as the months passed, it has been found that India's largest Islamic seminary, Darul Uloom Deoband,a fatwa has been issued which prohibits Muslims from chanting the slogan 'Bharat Mata ki Jai'.

This issue has gathered more attention on March 16, 2016, when an All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) MLA,Waris Pathan, has been suspended by Maharashtra Assembly, after he said he denied to chant 'Bharat Mata ki Jai' even at the cost of his life.

Soon, even the Pathans refused to chant the slogan of Bharat Mata ki Jai. The flexible approach to build a good bonding among citizens of India is getting spoiled because of religious issues raised by these nationalists. Every state have been given a special order to deal with the ongoing circumstances. It's not only Jammu & Kashmir which has a special dispensation. Even Gujarat and Maharashtra is given a special dispensation by Article 371 of Constitution. And this has worked well.

If these nationalists of India decide to have a real conversation with their compatriots, they would definitely come across people having a deep emotional connection with the idea of India. This homegrown stupidity which we are facing today is becoming a great threat to our nation. So it is requested to these nationalists to Calm down, please.

The author has discussed a very thought provoking issue. India being a democratic nation, there is freedom of speech. Also due to electoral form of formation of the Government, all political parties require votes to come in power. After reduction of voting age from 21 years to 18 years, the political parties are focusing more of the students in various educational institutions for polarizing their ideologies and winning their votes. The students in the age group of 18 years, are still in learning phase and their opinions are vulnerable to be cast in any mold. Therefore perhaps such issues which are raised from time to time by various political parties should not be taken very seriously.

The problem in India is that some people take the responsibility of cleansing the system on their shoulders as if there are none to do the process. Firstly the students are supposed to study well and bring name and fame to their own family and also to the college and that will lead to good settlement in life. But some students who join in the students election fray and try to boss over others by virtue of they getting support from political parties. That proves bad as the campus has been interfered with political interference and that instigates violence for no reason as every student is affiliated to one party or the other. So taking that advantage some political parties are playing with the life of students and wasting their college studies and students wont understand this unless and until they are rusticated from the college for bad behavior. So I blame it on parents for not following their children in full and allowing to enter political practices on the campus.
