Theatre Acting Workshop

2016 British Council Summer School English language courses

The British Council, Chennai center is organizing a summer school course for 3 weeks.

Age group: 8 to 15 years.

About the course

The goal of the course is to develop a child's language skills, including all the aspects, namely writing, reading, speaking and even listening. Vocabulary and proper pronunciation will also be learned. There will be absolutely no pressure to pick up skills, with children learning at their own pace. Audio-visual aids will be used for more effective learning. Puzzles & games, Rhymes & songs will also be incorporated.

The theme for the course is Shakespeare, with the child getting an insight into the plays of the famous Bard, getting a wonderful chance to learn through drama & theatre. Through a project, the child will develop team bonds, enhance communication skills and get an opportunity to be creative. Parents will get to see first-hand their child's talent on the final day of the course and/or get to see their work as learned through the course.

Note: The summer school courses are also available at the British Council centres in Delhi and Kolkata.

  1. Chennai: 2nd May to 20th May 2016 (30 hours duration for 3 weeks). The fee: Rs.9,500/-.

  2. Kolkata: 16th May to 3rd June 2016 (30 hours duration for 3 weeks). The fee: Rs.8,000/-.

  3. New Delhi: Summer intensive program is from 23rd May to 12 June (30 hours duration for 3 weeks) and Summer program is from 20th June to 21st August (32 hours for 9 weeks). The fee for each is: Rs.13,500/-.

Bamboola school summer camp May 2016

Bamboola is organizing a fun summer camp with varied events each week with sessions being conducted in air-conditioned spacious classrooms. The fees start at approx. Rs.1,500/-. Children can attend a half-day camp from 9.30a.m. to 12 noon or register for the evening one from 3.30p.m. to 6p.m.

Age group: 2yrs.6months up to 12 years.
