What is this recruitment process notifcation for This is for a common Recruitment Process is for recruitment of Probationary Officers / Management trainees in the participating banks. It is shortly referred in abbreviation CWE PO/M-VI, to denote Common(written) Examination for Probationaty Officers/Management Trainees –(VI th).Now this examination is online.
What is the number of vacancies notified The recruitment called for is tentatively for a total of 8822 vacancies from which is earmarked vacancies for the reservations under various categories. The unreserved vacancies is tentatively 4500.

Age(as on 01.07.2016):
Minimum: 20 years Maximum: 30 years. Applicable relaxation allowed for eligible category candidates like SC/ST, OBC, persons with disabilities, ex-servicemen etc. The specific details are available in the notification.
Educational Qualification(as on 13.08.2016) A degree(graduations0 from any recognised university or equivalent recognised qualification.
Note: The qualifications should be from a University/ Institution/ Board recognised by Govt. Of India/ approved by Govt. Regulatory Bodies and the result should have been declared on or before 13.08.2016.

Before actual filling in online, candidates to keep ready the following .
Application fees Onine payment from 26.07 2016 to 13.08.2016.
Rs 600/- for general category candidates. Rs 100 forSC/ST/PWD candidates.
Procedure for applying online. Visist IBPS website www.ibps.in .Click on home page on "CWE PO/MT" link to open.
Then click on "CLICK HERE TO APPLY ONLINE FOR CWE- PROBATIONARY OFFICERS/ MANAGEMENT TRAINEES (CWE-PO/MT-VI)" link to open On-line application form. Then click for New Registration and follow the leads and fill required details.
The online fee payment is integrated with online application to be made by selecting suitable options of online payment.
a. Preliminary Examination
The preliminary examination is of One hour with a total of 100marks divided as:
Candidates have to secure a cut off marks for eac test in the above as decided by IBPS.
b.Main Examination The main examination id of 140 minutes duration, total of 200 marks from 200 questions sub divided into five tests as below:
Negative marks: Penalty is awarded for marking wrong answers marked in objective tests , both in preliminary and Main examination. For each wrong answer marked, ¼ th of the mark assigned for that question wll be deducted.
Examination centres; There are many centres for examination across the country. The details are available in the Annexure II of the notification. The centres for main examination will be limited in comparison to the preliminary examination.
Interview: Marks obtained in the main examination only will be considered for short listing for interview(and for final merit listing). Candidates thus shortlisted for interview will be called for interview to be conducted at select centres by the participating institutions or Nodal banks organisation and co-ordinated by nodal banks in each state, helped by IBPS.
The total marks for the interview will be 100. The minimum qualifying marks in interview will not be less than 40%(35% in case of SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates).
Provisional allotment On completion of the interview process, candidates provisionally shortlisted in final list will be allotted to a participating bank depending on the vacancies to be filled in Financial year 2017-18 as reported to IBPS. based on merit-cum-preference complying government guidelines on reservation etc. The provisional allotment is also subject to the candidate fulfilling the criteria for Participating banks and satisfactory identity verification.

Pre-examination training Pre examination training will be arranged for limited number of candidates belonging to SC,ST, Minority communities at selected centres by the participating or nodal banks. Eligible candidates wishing to avail the same should fill the relevant columns in the online application

The successful candidates are inducted as Probationary Officers in the scale-1 and become eligible for a minimum salary of Rs. 38,200. This amount is calculated by adding basic pay, dearness allowance (DA), special allowance, HRA and CCA. The pay scale is Rs. 23,700 - 980*7 - 30,560 - 1145*2 - 32,850 - 1310*7 - 42020. The special allowance is 7.75% of the basic, DA 43%, HRA - 7, 8 or 9 % on basic, CCA 4% (maximum 870) or 3% (maximum 600) or 0%. Medical benefits are Rs. 8000 per annum.
Normally after about 10.5% cut towards contributory pension fund, TDS/professional tax etc.,the take home salary is about 38,200.
