List of important elements in our food


Do you know which elements are present in food which we eat in our day to day life? Want to know about the elements? Here I am sharing my article from which you can know about such elements and in which foods they are present. And by consuming it in correct quantity it can help us to be away from all the diseases and stay healthy.

All vegetables and fruits are grown with the help of hybrid fertilizers, due to which these things contain much amount of chemicals in it. So to prevent the adverse effect of chemicals in our body we should have a perfect and a balanced diet.

Following elements are included in our food.

  • Proteins

  • Carbohydrates

  • Mineral salt

  • Vitamins

  • Fibers

  • Water

  • Apart from these elements, no other elements are found in our food. These all are important elements for our body. A proper proportion of these elements are to be maintained in our body - if less it harms our body and if more it also harms our body. We must be aware of the proportions of the elements required in our body. If we have proper knowledge for the proportion of elements then we can avoid the diseases caused by them.

    Protein

    Protein is an element which is found in maximum quantity in our body after water. A larger portion of protein is found in our muscles. Many types of amino acids are present in proteins. Proper coordination of cereals, vegetables, food grains, yoghurt etc supplies the proper proportion of proteins to the body. Therefore proper proportion of proteins should be there in our food. Lack of proteins reduces the physical development of the body. The proper proportion of protein is available from the following foods: wheat, corn, rice, cereals, millets etc. This is the main constituent which helps in the development of the bones.

    Carbohydrates

    There are three important components of glucose, starch and cellulose. Carbohydrates are found in following foods: wheat, corn, millet, rice, potato, sugar cane, and beetroots. Less proportion of carbohydrate harms our body.

    Fats

    Fats are available in the following foods in proper proportion required by the body: groundnuts, olives, sea sum seeds, coconuts, and milk products. Minimum amount of fats are also present in fruits and vegetables. More consumption of fatty foods is not good for health as it also increases our weight. Its consumption strengthens our bones and other body parts. Heart patients or in a stage of high blood pressure should avoid fatty foods & these must not be eaten at all.

    Mineral salt

    Approximately there are 20 types of salt found in nature. Some of them are Calcium, Potassium, Magnesium, Sodium, Lithium, Barium, Iron, Manganese, Iodine, Chlorine, Silicon and etc. Some of the mineral salts are acidic and some are alkaline.

    Mineral salts or not to be consumed in their natural form. Essential minerals required for our body are to be consumed naturally from seasonal vegetables and fruits. Different mineral salts are present in different foods.

    Vitamins

    Vitamin plays important role in constructing a proper health. Vitamins are Vitamin A, Vitamin B, Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Vitamin E, Vitamin H, Vitamin K and Vitamin P. Some vitamins are soluble in fats and some in water for example: - Vitamin A and Vitamin D are soluble in fats and Vitamin B and Vitamin C are soluble in water.

    Vitamin A

    Due to lack of vitamin A growth and development of body stops and it also affects the skin and eyes. Consuming vitamin A in excessive amount causes headache, vomiting, laziness and dryness of skin. Good sources of Vitamin A are:- carrot, papaya, tomato, gourd, cauliflower, mango, Green peas, Nashpti, green chili, muskmelon, pumpkin and etc.

    Vitamin B 1

    Lack of Vitamin B1 reduces power of muscles and also causes adverse effects on heart. Some good sources of Vitamin B1 are cabbage, soybean, blackberry, watermelon, and orange.

    Vitamin B 2

    Lack of vitamin B2 causes digestive problems. Some good sources of Vitamin B2 are tomato, green peas, cauliflower, watermelon, apple etc.

    Vitamin B 6

    Due to deficiency of Vitamin B6 blood vessels become stiff. Vitamin B6 are available in banana, cabbage and sprouted wheat.

    Vitamin C

    Vitamin C is available in sour fruits and our bones get stronger by consuming it. Deficiency Vitamin C causes increase in poisonous toxins in the system and also causes skin and teeth diseases. Good sources of Vitamin C are papaya, mango, lemon, orange, avala and cherry.

    Vitamin D

    The best source of vitamin D is sun rays. Vitamin D is much important for our eyes and bones. By presence of vitamin D in our body the level of phosphorus and calcium is maintained in our body.

    Vitamin E

    Vitamin E acts as antioxidant. Consuming Vitamin E is good for health as it strengthens the white blood cells and muscles of heart and other organs of body and also its consumption is good in the case of high blood pressure. Good sources of Vitamin E are sprouted chana, sprouted wheat, groundnuts and green vegetables.

    Vitamin P

    Deficiency of Vitamin P can cause increase in blood pressure and also weakens the blood cells. Sources of Vitamin P are lemon, orange and grapes.

    Vitamin H

    Can also be named as nicotinic acid. Its deficiency causes neurological disorder, indigestion, constipation and sometimes weight also start to reduce. Good sources are turnip, tomato, potato, green peas and palak.

    Vitamin K

    This vitamin is resistant to bleeding. Blood clotting is due to lack of this vitamin. Good sources cabbage, cauliflower, carrot and green vegetables.

    The author had mentioned all the vital elements of food here in the article. Most of us don't know about the elements found in our food. In this way, if they are aware of such elements and the food in which they are found, then it would be easier for everyone to take a proper healthy diet. A balanced diet is one in which all the vital elements are included in proper amount. Spinach is rich in Vitamins so one should consume green vegetables like spinach. Also, oranges are very beneficial for the persons who work more on gadgets like Smartphones, Computers, etc.
