About JNIS education

The Jamnabai Narsee International School with classes from from Grades 1 to 12 is managed by the Narsee Monjee Educational Trust. It offers all 3 International Baccaluareate (IB) programs, namely the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP). Primary school is from Grades 1 to 5 and Secondary School includes Grades 6 and 7. The IGCSE curriculum is for students from Grades 8 to 10 and IB is for students of Grades 11 and 12.

The globally accepted IB curriculum focuses on an inquiry-based learning system which is trans-disciplinary and taught by highly qualified teachers.

How to apply for admission

Here is a step by step guidance to applying for 2017 JNIS IB PYP admissions:
  1. You will get the online registration form at: the JNIS official website or at https://jnis.openapply.com/apply from 15th to 20th November 2016.

  2. You have to fill in the form online. It is advisable to first go through the details required to be filled in before you begin as there is some information you would need to keep ready in order not to waste time later. For example, you will need to mention the Blood Group of the child, academic history, etc and keep documents ready for uploading such as past academic reports (where applicable), photograph of the child, etc.

  3. After submitting the registration form, you need to pay the registration fee of Rs.1000 via Net-banking or with a credit card or with a debit card. The payment link is provided on the registration form itself (scroll down to the section heading "Application Processing Fee".)

JNIS School tour schedule

Parents and students can attend the information session in the school hall and school tour on 21st November at 4p.m. You will need to bring with you the receipt of the registration form which you filled up online. You will receive a school brochure when you attend the information session. Ensure that you arrive early are in your seat no later than 3.45p.m.

Final selection schedule

Subsequently, at some time in the first week of December 2016, there will be an informal interaction & assessment session. Students who are selected for admission will be intimated by email / SMS for the PYP / MYP batch 2017-18 in the third week of December 2016.
