Eligibilty
Engineering Courses
Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination,kerala or equivalent thereto with 50% marks in Mathematics seperately and 50% marks in Mathematics,Physics and Chemistry/Bio-technology/Computer Science/Biology put together are eligible for admission to Engineering Degree courses.3 year diploma holders in Engineering having 50% marks in the final diploma examination are also eligible for admission for first year BTech and those having 60% marks are eligible for second year under lateral entry scheme.

Architecture course
Pass in Higher Secondary Examination or Examination recognized equivalent thereto by the University of Calicut with 50% marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as one of the subjects of examination at the higher secondary level. Admission shall be subject to obtaining a minimum of 40% marks in the Aptitude Test[NATA] conducted by Council of Architecture.

(i) Relaxation of 5% marks in the qualifying examination will be allowed to those candidates who belong to the communities listed under the Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) and OEC category, whose annual family income is upto Rs.2.5 lakhs. SC/ST candidates need only a pass in the qualifying examination (ii) Notwithstanding what is mentioned above, the latest order of the Government of Kerala and the University of Calicut will apply for determining the eligibility condition for B.Tech/B.Arch courses.

Allotment of Seats
Eligibility conditions and reservation are governed by the notification issued by the Government of Kerala in respect of B.Tech/B.Arch. admission for the year 2007-2008. This is a Muslim Minority Educational Institution. Guidelines provided by the Kerala Self Financing Colleges Management Association will also be followed. This being a Muslim Minority Educational Institution,seats are to be filled by the management and fee structure will be finally decided on the basis of the decision of competent authority.

For Management quota of seats the admission will be made from the ranklist prepared on the basis of CEE conducted by the Government of Kerala. For admission to Architecture course, selection will be from the rank list prepared as per the guidelines of Council of Architecture.

Therefore, applicants seeking admission under Management quota should have necessarily written the Common Entrance Test conducted by the Government of Kerala and for Architecture NATA conducted by COA. They should submit application separately in the prescribed form along with the enclosures to this college.

Terms of Selection

The candidates are to appear for interview and counselling at their own expense.

The candidates have to bring the original certificates at the time of admission and the list of marks obtained in the common entrance test.

The fact that a candidate has appeared for interview does not confer on him/her any claim for selection.

Individual admission/selection memos will be sent by the Principal, MES College of Engineering to candidates selected.

The candidates who do not present themselves for interview/counselling at the appointed place, date and time will not be considered for admission.

MES or the Secretary, MES College of Engineering Managing Committee will not be responsible for non receipt of application forms/selection memos and other correspondences regarding admission. If the candidates who are provisionally selected do not report before the Principal on prescribed time and date, the selection will automatically be cancelled without further notice.

Admission given to the Engineering College is based on the details and information furnished by the candidate or his/her parent/guardian and if any false information or error is detected at any stage in the mark list, certificate or details furnished by the candidate or his/her parent/guardian, the admission of the candidate will be cancelled and he/she will be removed from the rolls of the institution.

The college will be functioning as per the guidelines issued by AICTE, Government of Kerala and the relevant orders of the Supreme Court of India.

Political activity in the campus is totally banned. An undertaking has to be signed jointly by the student and his/her parent/guardian at the time of admission in the prescribed Format. Campus includes students’ hostel and other places in the possession and under the control of the college.

For the details not specifically covered in this Information Brochure the decision of the secretary, MES College of Engineering Managing Committee will be final.

The High Court of Kerala only will have the jurisdiction to decide on disputes arising, if any, regarding admission. The consumer protection jurisdiction is also confined to the State of Kerala only.
The admission of a student would be liable to be canceled if he/she indulges in ragging.
