IntroductionMAEER's MIT Institute of Design was started in year 2006 in Pune with a target to develop as a research & training institution in the field of design with International standards. The institute keeps inviting mentors from different discipline of designing and let their students learn and explore the same. These dimensions are alternative energy systems, performing arts, bio mechanics, plastic arts, sociology, linguistics (semiotics), cognitive psychologies and many more.
Most of the course is covered in the form of projects in which teams are prepared with candidates and mentors formed to supervise. Sometimes, if the project requires the mentors from 2 different disciplines also get involved in one project.
Course offered at MITAll the offered courses at MIT Institute of Design are divided into different dimensions and Graduation and post graduation course are offered in each of them. Below is the list of dimensions available:
Admission details The admission are now open for both B.Des. well as M. Des. and interested candidates can get the information from below-

Number of Seats available For B. Des Programme, they have 200 seats and for M. Des Programme they have 120 seats available for new admissions. They also have provision for reservation as per Maharashtra Government directions.
Application Form The online application form is already available at "http://www.mitid-dat.edu.in/admission2017/index.html". The first page shows about all the details and terms -conditions for application. The next page leads you to login details for application.
Candidates need to fill the Online application form and submit the hard copy at "To, Admission Cell, MAEER's MIT Institute of Design, "Rajbaug", Loni-Kalbhor, Next to Hadapsar, Pune Solapur Highway, Pune – 412201-India."
The Application fee is Rs. 3000/- and candidates can py the same online as well as in the form of Demand Draft in favour of "MIT ID PUNE" drawn on Pune branch as fees for Design Aptitude Test.
Last date for application is 31st January 2017.

Admission Process The admission process includes 2 Phases, one is Aptitude test (MITID-DAT (Design Aptitude Test) which is conducted at different centers all over the country. Depending upon the performance, candidates are short listed for second Phase, that it Studio Test and Personal Interview which is conducted at MITID campus in Pune. The result of second phase get announced on website and there is no separate intimation to students for their selection.
