Sample Letter to Bank for Integrating Aadhaar with Pension Account for Jeevan Pramaan Scheme

Are you a pensioner? Wondering how to advise your bank to include you in the Jeevan Pramaan Scheme? Through a sample letter, this article explains how to write a sample letter to bank for integrating Aadhaar with pension account for the Jeevan Pramaan Scheme.

Introduction

These days the government of India has made it a lot easier for pensioners to prove that they are alive. To those who might be wondering why the pensioners have to prove their existence, let me explain that till two years back, it was mandatory that pensioners will have to visit their banks or pension disbursing offices (PDOs), once a year in the month of November and certify in paper that they are alive. For those pensioners who were not physically able or were living in distant cities and towns it was a tough task to do so. But not so now, with the advent of the Jeevan Pramaan Scheme.

Jeevan Pramaan

The Jeevan Pramaan Scheme is a very thoughtful scheme by the Government of India. This scheme makes submission of life certificate by pensioners a very simple process. As a pensioner, you just need to visit any branch of your bank anywhere in the country, identify yourself biometrically and your life certificate is submitted to your pension disbursing office digitally. But there is a catch. For this Jeevan Pramaan Scheme to work for you, you have to first integrate your Aadhar with your pension account. For integrating your Aadhaar to your pension account you will have to visit your parent bank, where your account is held. You then have to submit an application to the bank mentioning the purpose of submitting your Aadhar number. Along with your application you need to submit a self-certified copy of your Aadhar card. Once the bank does the necessary integration, you qualify for the Jeevan Pramaan Scheme and thus escape from the hassles of physically submitting a life certificate to your parent bank year after year. There is another benefit of this scheme. In case you have the necessary biometric equipment and a computer with internet connection, you can submit your Jeevan Pramaan sitting in the comforts of your home. This way, the Jeevan Pramaan scheme has not only saved time and effort of pensioners, but has also resulted in huge savings for those living in distant cities and towns.

So readers, to help you get an idea on what all details you need to write in the application form, I have given one sample letter to bank for integrating aadhaar with pension account for the Jeevan Pramaan Scheme. For easy reference, I have given fictitious name and address of the applicant. The account number, bank name and the Aadhar number of the applicant too are imaginary. All you need to do while writing the application is replace the existing name, address, account, bank and Aadhar details with your own. Hope this sample letter will help you in getting included to the Jeevan Pramaan Scheme successfully.

Undermentioned, please find my personal details including my pension account number and the Aadhar number. I am also attaching a self-certified copy of my Aadhar card. The necessary details are as follows:
  • Pension account no.: ******0045

A final note to the pensioners

While referring the sample letter for writing an application to the bank in this respect, make changes in your application, wherever appropriate. For the present year, the banks are accepting life certificates till 15th of January 2017. In case you have not yet submitted the life certificate in physical form, then rush up to your bank and apply for integrating your account with the Jeevan Pramaan Scheme by submitting your Aadhar.
