About Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University
Amrita School of Engineering was established in the year 1994 at Coimbatore to offer professional education in Engineering. Later the management has extended its professional education service by establishing multiple campuses. Two additional schools of Engineering were established in 2002 at Bengaluru and Amritapuri. Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University is a deemed university which is providing education in 5 campuses-Coimbatore, Amritapuri (Kollam), Bangalore, Kochi and Mysore. For the next academic year, the University has planned to establish School of Engineering at Vengal, Chennai. Amrita University offers B.Tech, M.Tech and Ph.D programs in multiple disciplines. The University is accredited with 'A' grade by NAAC and is also ranked among the top 2 Private Universities in India.

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University admits students for B.Tech programmes by conducting Amrita Entrance Examination Engineering (AEEE). Based on the eligibility criteria and the rank of the students in AEEE, the University then admit the students in the B.Tech programmes offered by Amrita Schools of Engineering-Coimbatore, Bengaluru, Amritapuri and Chennai through counselling process.

About AEEE 2017
Amrita Entrance Examination Engineering (AEEE) 2017 is an Entrance Examination to be conducted all over India by Amrita University in the year 2017 for the admission of the B.Tech programmes in Amrita Schools of Engineering operating at Amritapuri, Coimbatore, Bangalore and Chennai.
AEEE 2017 will be conducted in two modes- Pen and Paper Mode Test (P&P) and Computer Based Test (CBT). Candidates who wish to take AEEE 2017 can choose either CBT or P&P as per their choice. The duration of both CBT and P&P is 2 hours and 30 minutes.

How to Apply for AEEE 2017
The eligible candidates who wish to appear for AEEE 2017 can submit their application form through Online or Offline Mode
Candidates who prefer to submit the application form through online mode have to follow the below mentioned steps
Step 1- Registration Form: Candidates have to register their profile with a valid email id in the Online Admission Portal of Amrita University (Portal link: amrita.edu/aeee or https://www.amrita.edu/admissions/btech-2017/how-to-apply)
Note: Enter the information as required in the online application form and verify it before submission. After submission, candidates have to read and confirm the declaration form. Exam centers and exam modes cannot be changed after the submission of the application form.
After registration, Candidates who have opted for CBT can select date and slot in www.amrita.edu/aeee based on the availability. Email and SMS alerts related to time and booking will be sent to the candidates who have selected CBT.
Step 2- Upload Photo and Signature: Candidates are required to upload the scanned copy of their recent color photograph and signature. The dimensions of the photograph should be 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm with size 5kb to 20kb. The signature should be on white paper with black ink ball point pen. The dimensions of the scanned copy of the signature should be 3.5 cm x 1.5 cm with size 5kb to 20kb.
Step 3- Payment: Candidates can pay the amount of Rs.1000/- either by Online or Offline mode
i. Online Payment: If the preferred mode is online, then the candidates can use Net banking/ Credit Card/ Debit Card
ii. Offline Payment: If the preferred mode is offline, then a demand draft of Rs.1000/- should be drawn in favor of "Amrita School of Engineering" payable at "Coimbatore". Print the application form on A4 sheet and submit the hard copy of the application form along with the DD to the following address

Candidates can re-login to the portal using their Date of Birth, Email id or application Number. Hall ticket will be generated after the completion of the selection process. Note: Candidates who produce DD must write B.Tech application and their name, mobile number at the back of the demand draft.
Remember: Candidates are requested to keep a printed copy or a pdf of the application form and a photocopy of the Demand Draft for future reference.
Computer Based Test will be conducted in 96 cities all over the country and P&P test will be conducted only in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala

AEEE 2017 Examination pattern
The exam will contain questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics based on the AEEE syllabus (mentioned in www.amrita.edu/aeee). The exam will contain 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ). Three marks will be given for every correct answer and one mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. Selection of more than one answer for a single question will be considered as incorrect answer and negative mark will be awarded.
