Alpha Arts and Science College :

1. Application for admission to UG / PG courses should be made in the prescribed application form which is available along with the prospectus in the Administrative Office at West C.I.T. Nagar or in the College Office, Porur.

2. Incomplete application forms will not be accepted. All the details furnished by the candidates in the application form should be accurate.

3. Each application should be accompanied by attested photo copies of the following :

(a) (i) Higher Secondary Mark Sheet or its equivalent for admission to degree courses and
(ii) Degree Mark Lists and degree certificate for PG admissions.
(b) Transfer Certificate from the Principal of the School / College last attended.
(c) Conduct Certificate from the Principal of the School / College last attended.
(d) Community Certificate issued by a competent authority in the case of BC / MBC / SC / ST.
(e) 3 recent passport size photographs and 2 stamp size photos.
(f) Provisional Eligibility Certificate from the Madras University (for students from other Boards / Universities within India or outside India).
(g) Foreign students must also enclose copies of :

(i) No objection Certificate from HRD. Government of India.
(ii) Eligibility Certificate from the University of Madras.
(iii) Production of a valid Student Visa and Passport.
(iv) Police Verification Report.
(v) Residential Permission to stay in India.


4. Selection Intimation and Interview Card.
All Students Selected for admission will be informed through post card attached with the application. Each applicant shall carefully fill in their correct address on the post card and affix stamp Rs.6/- before submitting the applications.

5. (i) The Selected candidates will deposit all the original certificates with the college and they will not be returned till the completion of the course. They are therefore advised to take sufficient photocopies of all the certificates before submitting the originals to the college.

(ii) Fees once paid will no be refunded under any circumstances, Students dismissed on disciplinary grounds will forfeit the entire fees, paid to the college, hostel & conveyance.

(iii) A Student once enrolled for a course is expected to complete the same. If a student wishes to leave the college at any time before the completion of the course, he / she will have to pay the entire fee for the concerned 3 year UG / 2 year PG courses.

International Students :
(a) Prior approval of University of Madras is required. Procedures are
transparent, user-friendly and time-bound.

(b) Fees to be paid to the University

UG Arts & Science Rs.5,000.00 US $ 55 or Rs.2,500.00
PG Science (M.Sc) Rs.7,500.00 -do-

Recognition Fee to University of Madras

UG
(1) HSE (Government of Tamil Nadu) - Rs.420.00
(2) SSCE (CBSE) / ISCE - Rs.520.00
PG -Rs.320.00

Supplemental / Compartmental Examinations

(a) Candidates who pass the Supplemental / Compartmental Examinations
held in November 06 are not eligible for admission to Higher Courses of
Study during the same academic year and such candidates will become
eligible for admission only during the next academic year.

(b) Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Certificate Examination
instant Examination held in June / July conducted by the Directorate of
Government Examinations, Government of Tamil Nadu or any other State
Government in India to be considered as eligible for admission to the UG
Courses in the same academic year.

(c) Candidates who have passed two years UG Examination after higher
secondary examination (i.e. 10 +2 +2 patern) will not be eligible to be
admitted to any of the PG Courses.
