Central Railway has made special arrangements to operate a whopping 156 summer special trains between Mumbai and Jammu Tawi, Lucknow, Patna, Gorakpur and Manduadih from April to July 2017. There will also be two special trains for Teachers. Travellers should ensure that they carry valid ID on all their journeys.

Mumbai to and from Jammu Tawi

The following trains are air-conditioned super fast weekly specials, with 26 trips totally.
  1. Train Number: 02171
    • Departure: CST Mumbai at 06.45hrs.

    • Arrival: Jammu Tawi at 18.00hrs (next day)

    • Departure days: Every Friday from 7th April to 30th June 2017

  2. Train Number: 02172
    • Departure: Jammu Tawi at 07.20hrs.

    • Arrival: CST Mumbai at 18.00rs. (next day).

    • Departure days: Every Sunday from 9th April to 2nd July 2017

Halts to & fro: Dadar, Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nasik Road, Bhusaval, Itarsi, Bhopal, Jhansi, Agra, New Delhi, Ambala Cantonment Jn., Ludhiana.

Composition: 13 AC-III Tier

Mumbai to and from Lucknow

The following trains are air-conditioned superfast weekly specials, with 26 total trips.
  1. Train Number: 02111
    • Departure: CST Mumbai at 14.20hrs.

    • Arrival: Lucknow at 13.10hrs. (next day)

    • Departure days: Every Tuesday from 4th April to 27th June 2017

  2. Train Number: 02112
    • Departure: Lucknow at 15.00hrs.

    • Arrival: CST Mumbai at 16.25hrs. (next day)

    • Departure days: Every Wednesday from 5th April to 28th June 2017

Halts to & fro: Kalyan, Igatpuri, Bhusaval, Itarsi, Bhopal, Jhansi, Orai, Kanpur

Composition: 13 AC-III Tier.



Mumbai to Patna

The following train is a weekly unreserved special train, plying one way only from Mumbai to Patna. There are totally 13 trips scheduled from 3rd April to 26th June 2017.

  • Departure: CST Mumbai at 00.20hrs

  • Arrival: Patna at 08.00hrs (next day)

  • Departure days: Every Monday (midnight of Sunday/Monday)

Halts: Dadar, Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nasik Road, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Jabalpur, Katni, Satna, Manikpur, Chheoki, Mughalsarai, Buxar, Ara, Danapur

Composition: 20 Second Class.

Patna to Mumbai

The following train is a one-way weekly super fast special train which will operate between Patna to Mumbai from 4th April to 27th June 2017 with a total of 13 trips.
Train Number: 02054
  • Departure: Patna at 10.00hrs.

  • Arrival: CST Mumbai at 16.30hrs (next day)

  • Departure days: Every Tuesday

Halts: Danapur, Ara, Buxar, Mughalsarai, Chheoki, Manikpur, Satna, Katni, Jabalpur, Itarsi, Khandwa, Jalgaon, Nasik Road, Igatpuri, Kalyan, Dadar.

Composition: 20 Second Class.

Mumbai to and from Gorakhpur

The following trains are unreserved weekly special trains, with a total of 26 trips.
  1. Train Number: 01117
    • Departure: Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Mumbai at 07.50hrs.

    • Arrival: Gorakhpur at 16.00hrs (next day)

    • Departure days: Every Tuesday from 4th April to 27th June 2017

  2. Train Number: 01118
    • Departure: Gorakhpur at 05.00hrs.

    • Arrival: Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Mumbai at 16.55hrs. (next day)

    • Departure days: Every Thursday from 6th April to 29th June 2017

Halts to & fro: Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nasik Road, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Jabalpur, Katni, Satna, Manikpur, Allahabad, Gyanpur, Varanasi, Aunrihar, Mau, Bhatni, Deoria Sadar.

Composition: 20 Second Class.

The following trains between Mumbai and Gorakhpur are also weekly specials, with a total of 26 trips.
  1. Train Number: 01115
    • Departure: Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Mumbai at 00.45hrs.

    • Arrival: Gorakhpur at 10.50hrs. (next day)

    • Departure days: Every Saturday (midnight of Friday/Saturday) from 1st April to 24th June 2017

    Note: The general second class coaches of Train no. 01087 will run as unreserved coaches. Bookings will be through UTS system.

  2. Train Number: 01116
    • Departure: Gorakhpur at 14.00hrs

    • Arrival: Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Mumbai at 00.20hrs on the third day (midnight of Monday/Tuesday)

    • Departure days: Every Sunday from 2nd April to 25th June 2017

Halts to & fro: Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nasik Road, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Jabalpur, Katni, Satna, Manikpur, Chheoki, Varanasi, Aunrihar, Mau, Bhatni, Deoria Sadar.

Composition: One AC-2 tier, Four AC-3 tier, Six sleeper class and Seven general second class.

Mumbai to Manduadih

The following train is a one way weekly specials, with 12 trips totally, operating from 5th April to 28th June 2017 (except on 3rd May 2017).

  • Departure: Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Mumbai at 00.45hrs.

  • Arrival: Manduadih at 04.45hrs. (next day)

  • Departure days: Every Wednesday (midnight of Tuesday/Wednesday)

Note: The general second class coaches of Train no.01087 will run as unreserved coaches. Bookings will be through UTS system.

The following train is a one way superfast weekly special train, with totally 12 trips from 6th April to 29th June 2017 (except on 8th June 2017).

  • Departure: Manduadih at 06.30hrs

  • Arrival: Lokmanya Tilak Terminus, Mumbai at 07.30hrs. (next day)

  • Departure days: Every Thursday

Halts: Gyanpur, Allahabad, Manikpur, Satna, Katni, Jabalpur, Itarsi, Khandwa, Bhusaval, Nasik Road, Igatpuri, Kalyan.

Composition: One AC-2 tier, Four AC-3 tier, Six sleeper class and Seven general second class.



Teacher's Special trains between Mumbai and Manduadih

CR is operating two Teachers' Specials, both of which are fully reserved on special charges. Details of the reservation bookings for these two trains will be notified later.

  1. Train Number 01097 will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus, Mumbai on 3rd May 2017. The timings, halts and composition is the same as for CR Train Number 01087.

  2. Train Number 02098 is superfast special train leaving Manduadih on 8th June 2017. The timings, halts and composition is the same as for CR Train Number 02088.
