These groups provide professional help in any particular stream/branch and also help in finding new jobs in the same branch/field. So joining different professional groups in various websites is an important factor for searching appropriate jobs.

If you are a fresher, search for a job in your field of interest because as you are younger many vacancies are available, which will not be the case when you mature. If you are not a fresher and yet is searching for a job after a gap, then you can find any job that you feel comfortable with. Though you may be a commerce graduate, you may be skilled in other areas such as communication, writing, etc and you can find jobs in those areas too because auditing or accountancy jobs may not be available for you as they are searching for freshers.
