The Central Universities Common Entrance Test 2017 is popularly referred to as CUCET 2017. Actually this test is conducted by 10 Central Universities namely Central University of Haryana, Central University of Kashmir, Central University of Jammu, Central University of Karnataka, Central University of Kerala, Central University of Punjab, Central University of Rajasthan, Central University of South Bihar, Central University of Jharkhand and Central University of Tamil Nadu, under the guidance of Central University of Rajasthan. The application is invited for programs like

  • UG/Integrated Programs(3/4/5 years)
  • PG/B.Ed./Integrated M.Sc B.Ed/PG Diploma Programs(1/2/3 years)
  • M.Phil/Ph.D. Programs

Eligibility

A candidate with 10+2 / Bachelor degree / Master degree are eligible to apply for various programs in Central Universities of India for the academic year 2017-2018.

How to apply

All candidates are requested to submit the applications via online mode only. Offline applications will not be allowed. Before applying, make sure you satisfy the eligibility criteria of the particular course you selected. In addition, all applicants must have a valid mobile number as well as email ID. You need to have a scanned digital good quality latest photograph and signature of size between 10 KB- 100 KB and 5 KB –20 KB on it while filling the application form. After submitting online application successfully, all candidates can make their payment either by online/offline mode. If you prefer offline mode, then the payment is by SBI only. You will receive email and SMS alerts at the time of registration and also after registration.

Application fees

Online application and payment through online/debit/credit cards:
  • General/OBC candidates: Rs 800
  • SC/ST candidates: Rs 350
  • PWD candidates: No fees
Online application and payment through challan:
  • General/OBC candidates: Rs 850
  • SC/ST candidates: Rs 400
  • PWD candidates: No fees

CUCET 2017 exam pattern

The question paper will be based on multiple choice questions as follows:
  • Part A: 25 questions with general awareness, mathematical aptitude, language and analytical skills
  • Part B: 75 questions with domain knowledge
  • 3. For Admission to some Integrated Courses/MBA//LLB/ or any other general course(s), there will be only one paper that consist of 100 questions covering reasoning, English language, data interpretations/numerical ability, analytical skills and general awareness
  • 4. Candidates are required to choose the correct answer and mark on the OMR sheet provided.
  • 5. There will be only 2 hour duration for each paper.
  • 6. Remember there will be negative marking
