Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) is a public professional University located in Delhi. The University is well-known for its high academic standard. The University was founded on 28th March, 1998 by the Government of NCT of Delhi as a State University. It has been graded 'A' by NAAC. Eligibility conditions

The detailed eligibility conditions are indicated below:
  1. MBA: Any recognized 3 years or more Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Technology with minimum 50% marks
  2. Master of Business Administration (IT): B.E/ B.Tech with minimum of 60% marks. M.Sc. (CS), M.Sc. (Electronics) with minimum of 60% marks. MCA with minimum of 60% marks.
  3. MCA: Bachelor's Degree of a recognized University; BCA/BIT/BIS; Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
  4. Master of Arts (Mass Communication): Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University with aggregate of 50% marks.
  5. MPT: Pass in Bachelor of Physiotherapy programme of 4 and half years with 50% aggregate or Pass in Bachelor of Physiotherapy/ B.Sc.(Physiotherapy) of 3 and half years with 50% marks aggregate.
  6. Master of Occupational Therapy, Neurology: Pass in Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (BOT) with 50% aggregate from a recognized University.
  7. Master of Prosthetics or Orthotics: Pass in Bachelor of Prosthetics & Orthotics Programme (BPO) with 50% in aggregate from a recognized University.
  8. Master of Public Health, Field Epidemiology: Candidates possessing MBBS degree from any recognized institution.
  9. Master of Science, Environment Management: B.Sc. Degree or its equivalent with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
  10. Master of Laws, LLM: LL.B Degree as required by the Bar Council of India for Enrollment as an Advocate or an equivalent Law Degree from a Foreign University, with not less than 50% marks.
  11. Master of Arts (English): Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University with aggregate of 50% marks.
  12. Master of Arts, Criminology: Graduate from any UGC recognized University securing atleast 50% marks in aggregate at the final examination.
  13. Master of Science, Forensic Science: A B.Sc Degree from any recognized University with at least 50% marks in the aggregate.
  14. 14. Master of Education: Candidates should have obtained at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade in B.Ed, BA. B.Ed, B.Sc. B.Ed, B.El.Ed, D.El.Ed with an under graduate degree (with 50% marks)
  15. Master of Science (Biodiversity & Conservation): B.Sc. Degree (Botany, Zoology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Anthropology or any field of Life Sciences) or equivalent with minimum 50% marks.
  16. Master in Conservation, Preservation and Heritage Management: Graduate with 3 years degree course in any subject of Humanities, Commerce or Science
  17. Master in Archaeology and Heritage Management: Graduate with 3 years degree course in any subject of Humanities, Commerce or Science
  18. Master of Science, Natural Resource Management: B.Sc Degree with Life-Science, Environmental Sciences, Physical Sciences, Earth Science, Agriculture, Geography/Economics background and having minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
  19. Master of Philosophy, Clinical Psychology: M.A/M.Sc degree in Psychology or equivalent from a University recognized by the UGC with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate.
  20. Master of Computer Application, Dual Degree: Pass 10+2 examinations or equivalent with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory and should obtain 50% marks.
  21. Master of Philosophy: 50% of seats are reserved for students of M.A. (English and Communication) of the University School of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University. The admission to these seats shall be on the basis of the merit list prepared on the basis of the applicant's cumulative performance index obtained in the qualifying degree.
  22. Master of Arts, Economics: Bachelor Degree in Economics or equivalent from a University recognized by the UGC with a minimum of 50% of marks.
  23. Master of Computer Applications (Lateral Entry): Bachelor of Computer Applications/ B.Sc (Information Technology)/ B.Sc (Computer Science) degree with mathematics as a course at 10+2 level or graduate level from a University recognized by the UGC with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate.
  24. Master of Science, Nursing – Cardio Vascular & Thoracic Nursing: The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council. B.SC Nursing/ B.Sc. Hons. Nursing/ Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
  25. Master of Philosophy, Psychiatric Social Work: Minimum educational requirement for admission to this course will be M.A. degree in Social Work from a University recognized by the UGC with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate.
  26. MD/MS Ayurveda: Passed BAMS course from any AYURVEDIC college recognized/ approved by Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM). Registered with any State/ Central Council of Indian Medicine New Delhi.

Admission criterion

Admission in Post-Graduate programme will be based on the performance of the applicants in the CET.

Reservation in admission

Reservation in admission will be in accordance with the extant policy of the Government of NCT of Delhi.

Other important details

  1. Application Form Fee: All the candidates shall submit application forms only through online mode for all Common Entrance Tests 2017. The applications form is available at the University website. The application form along with the Common Entrance Test Fee of Rs. 1000/- excluding processing charges and taxes, as applicable, shall be available from 15th February, 2017, onwards. The Application fee, the processing charges and taxes shall not be refundable under any circumstances. The Admit Cards can be downloaded by using candidates log-in ID and password, online.
  2. The application forms shall be available in the online mode only from the University Website.
  3. The last date of application may be extended for any programme or programme group for which a common entrance test is to be conducted by the University.
  4. It is the responsibility of the candidates to ascertain whether he/she possess the requisite eligibility and qualifications for admission. Appearing for the written examination does not necessarily mean acceptance of eligibility.
  5. The applicants are advised that since the form filling as well as admit cards shall be made available through the online mode only; they must keep the details of their login id and the password secure and safe.

  6. Applicants should be careful in choosing the CETs that they apply for, as no change would be permissible after the application has been submitted.
  7. The language of the CET shall be English unless otherwise specified.
  8. No separate intimation will be sent to the candidates regarding declaration of results and commencement of counseling/admission. Result will be declared on University Website. Detailed schedule of first counseling/admissions will be notified prior to commencement of respective counseling, on the University Website.
  9. The merit of the CET will be valid only for the programme for which the candidate has appeared and cannot be utilized for admission to any other programme. Further, the merit of the CET-2017 shall be valid only for the academic session 2017-18.
