Are you eager to study a degree course in biomedical engineering abroad? This article provides complete information of the B.Eng.(Hons.) biomedical engineering programme offered at University of Strathclyde, UK. Details of the programme curriculum and fees have been provided.

The Department of Biomedical Engineering, University of Strathclyde, UK invites applications from international students, including Indian students to apply for admission to its Biomedical Engineering course which will begin in September 2017. Successful graduates will be awarded with a B.Eng.(Honours) in biomedical engineering.

About the Biomedical Engineering course

A biomedical engineering course is relevant to the field of healthcare. You will be applying the knowledge and skills you acquire in engineering to clinical problems. In addition to the core subjects of mechanical & electrical engineering, you will learn the myriad aspects of human anatomy and physiology. Assessment of what you learned is through assignments and presentations, individual or group projects and written exams.

As part of the course, you will be undertaking visits to local clinical centres. Visiting faculty will also give lectures and you will get the opportunity meet representatives from the University's industrial partners.

Campus facilities for the course are top-notch, with the labs equipped with all the requisite camera devices, contemporary biomedical materials, cell and tissue engineering facilities, neuroprosthetics' facilities, etc.

There is a wide career scope on completion of the programme. You can work on research projects related to biomedical engineering, be part of regulatory authorities that regulate medical devices, etc.
