Introduction :
Signal processing is the analysis, interpretation, and manipulation of signals. Signals of interest include sound, images, biological signals such as ECG, radar signals, and many others. Processing of such signals includes storage and reconstruction, separation of information from noise (for example, aircraft identification by radar), compression (for example, image compression), and feature extraction (for example, speech-to-text conversion).
This course is aimed to create interest among the young faculty and to increase the no. of teachers who come forward to teach the Signal processing related courses of B.Tech ECE curriculum through a series of interactive lectures sessions and laboratory training.
Course Contents :
Overview of Signals and Systems Transform Techniques Analog and Digital Filters FFT Algorithms Multirate Signal Processing Introduction to Classical and Modern Spectral Estimation Introduction to Adaptive Signal Processing Applications of DSP Speech Processing Radar Signal Processing Image Processing DSP Processors and their Architectures
Registration :
The program is funded by MHRD, Govt. of India. There is no registration fee. Registration form in the prescribed format should reach the Coordinator on or before 18h May 2008. The registered participants list will be notified in the institute web site www.nitw.ac.in on or before 22nd May 2008. Also an e-mail communication along with the schedule will be sent to the participants.
Selection : The number of teacher participants is limited to 50.
