Introduction :
The above statement summarizes status of the engineering education system in India. We are not able to cope with the changes happening in industry which itself going through lot of turmoil after the post liberlisation period. The need of the hour is how to make an educational institution agile for continuously realigning itself with the needs of the industry. This demands exceptional vision, leadership and managerial skills from the administrators and the senior faculty of an institution.
It is in this aspect, the two week course will throw light on skill set and strategies that are needed for survival and as well as achieving academic leadership. The course is targeted at administrators and senior faculty in engineering colleges/institutions. Keeping this in view, the following course content has been designed:
