As the education department has published the SSLC results 2017, now its responsibility of department of higher secondary education of Government of Kerala to start inviting application for plus one admission 2017-18. In Kerala, for admission to first year higher secondary admission the department of HSE has adopted a single window online registration system namely HSCAP. With this hassle free online application registration option students can easily apply for their desired course in desired school with a matter of time. HSCAP online single window allotment process avoids the requirement of submitting different application for various courses in different schools. With HSCAP admission process candidates can apply for any number of courses in any number of schools in a district through a single window online portal.
Admission to Kerala Government/ Aided higher secondary schools conducted through the HSCAP 2017 online registration to be started on May 8. Students who wish to apply for first year higher secondary admission should register online for plus one admission through HSCAP Website. As per the current SSLC results 437156 students have eligible for higher studies. Government have increased 20% seats as well for the plus one admission 2017. Including the increased seats, 422910 seats are available for admission. Apart from this 27500 seats will be available for VHSE as well. Considering these government can intake majority of passed students for higher education. Those who are not able to pick a seat or not interested to take seat in admission to plus one can apply for diploma courses as well. Apply for HSCAP Plus one admission 2017
Kerala state plus one admission 2017 is conducting through online single window system ( Eka Jalakam) is scheduled to start on May 8. Candidates who wish to apply for Kerala plus one admission can apply online through HSCAP website. Candidates can apply for any number of option through online registration. In previous years, most of the students have doubts like, how many application need to apply for plus one? Whether a candidates can apply for more than one district? Can a student able to apply multiple application in one district? Can a student able to rectify or do modification after submitting application? A candidate who is eligible for higher studies as per Kerala state department of higher education, can submit only one application for a district. If a student submit multiple application in a single district his application will be rejected. Candidates can submit multiple application for different districts. For example, Candidate want to apply for schools in Thrissur district and Ernakulum district, he ought to submit different application for each district. By applying in Thrissur district he will not consider for Ernakulum, he have to submit another application for Ernakulum. But He will not able to submit multiple application for Thrissur district. If a candidate committed a mistakes while submitting application can do change or modification based on the evidence provided by him to the principal of the school where he is submitted the printed application. Some candidates have doubts that whether they need to submit new application for rectify the mistake provided in the first application. Eligibility for plus one admission in Kerala
Students who are eligible for higher studies based on Kerala SSLC or equivalent examination conducted by other state board are eligible to submit application online for Kerala plus one admission. Candidates who is eligible for higher studies completed 10th in CBSE and attended board exam can also apply for admission to Kerala plus one admission. Students who have attended school level examination for CBSE 10th class will not considered for initial application. As the Kerala SSLC results had already declared the admission process will be started soon. Anyhow CBSE students still need to wait for their result in order to apply for plus one admission through HSCAP.
How to apply for plus one admission single window allotment process
Application for plus one courses in Kerala is proceed only through the online single window allotment process namely HSCAP 2017. HSCAP 2017 online registration will be started from May 8 2017. Candidates who wish to apply for Kerala plus one admission need to register online and submit their application and take the printout of the online application and need to submit in any school of the district they are applied by direct or through post. Those who failed to submit printed application in school will not consider for the admission. During the online application candidates can choose the school, course and subject combination. There are 45 various combination available in plus one admission including three groups (Science, Commerce, Humanities). Students need to keep the acknowledgement form given by the schools after receiving and verification of application. Candidates need to submit self-attested certificates if they are claiming other consideration which are not in the mark list. Students seeking admission in different district have to submit separate application for each district.
Instruction for higher secondary first year admission 2017
As I mentioned earlier students who wish to submit application for more than one district should submit separate application for each district. But don't submit multiple application for same district. Students have to take extra care while submitting online application in order to avoid mistakes. Please take all the details such as your marks, details like cast, religion, details that you want to claim bonus etc. Please make ready all the document before you submit application as it will help you to complete the application process without error. You need to submit your personal and academic details in the online registration process. Once it completes you will taken into option registration. Here you need to submit course and school option based on your choice. Before submitting choice in the option entry, it is better to make a list of school and course you are most likely to join while you get the admission. Give higher preference for the course and schools which you are most likely to join. If you give higher priority to schools and courses which are not interested join and you got admission to that course, then your lower option will not considered. So, always give higher priority for your favourite school and course combination.
Criteria for plus one admission through HSCAP 2017
Eligibility of a student to plus one admission is determined based on the WGPA (Weightage Grade Point Average). Weightage will be given to certain subjects of the qualifying examination according to the subject combination selected by the student. Those who want claim bonus point have to submit proper evidence for claiming it. Rank list prepared purely based on the WGPA calculation.
HSCAP 2017 Allotments
Based on the WGPA and option registration by student, department of higher secondary education will publish the rank list and allotment. Initially they will publish the trial allotment which will provide you possible chance of getting admission. After trial admission candidates get provision to re arrange their options based on choices. After stipulated time, DHSE will publish first allotment results and students who got allotment have to pay fee and take admission. Those students who failed to pay fee and take admission after got allotment will not entertain for the further allotment process. So, you might have to take admission once you got the allotment even if it is not the school or combination you want. As you will have a chance to get your higher preference choice in the further allotment. But in order to consider the allotted student for second and supplementary allotment they need to take admission.
